Law Enforcement Needs Assessment Study (2012) determined functional requirements for new substation prototype, including strategically located sites. Program Verification (2014) Consultants, Sheriff s Office and Facilities Management refined space requirements for substation prototype. Confirmed program requirement to co-locate Patrol Operations and Property Crimes Investigations in new substations Identified 15% savings in square footage. Locations Identified (2015) Eastside Acquired and Rocket Lane (NE Bexar County) Westside On existing county Cagnon Rd off Hwy 90 & Loop

8 CURRENT FACILITIES Substation and Sheriff s Academy Farm Road: ~9,850 sf Facility houses Patrol Operations and Training. Edgewood ISD exercised option to terminate Guerra lease July 2012 Required accelerated relocation Placed portable office building & three (3) classroom buildings on County property off Southton Road Parking lot enhancements not completed until 2014 Septic system installed, requires continuous upkeep due to heavy usage. Less than 90 days to relocate. Site includes several sheds, con-exs, and outbuildings 6
