2 2. INNOVATION CENTER 2. GATE AREA INNOVATION CENTER Fiber connection to the gate office should be done Cabinet 2U,access switch and patch cords will be provided by the University Contractor should provide 2sfp s and 8 core ODF,ONE fiber patch code,3 pigtails, ONE 24 port patch panel, TWO SC to SC fiber connectors and TWO SC to SC fiber adapters 250 meters of 8 core multimode armored fiber should be provided Contractor to provide and install metal trunking (00*50mm) and knockouts To provide and install 2 dual data points. 3. ENGINEERING COMPLEX ST FLOOR Fiber to engineering complex should be 900 meters in total 3. SERVER ROOM AND GROUND FLOOR MINI SERVER ROOM Multimode 8 core 50 meters of fiber should be provided. 4. ENGINEERING WORKSHOPS It was agreed the,27 meters of fiber from main server room to workshops was sufficient as indicated in the tender document. The total number of SFPs to be delivered is TEN (0) instead of SIXTEEN (6). Only two (2) cisco switches are to be delivered but with specifications stated No cabinets to be supplied. 5. MOUNT KENYA HOSTELS Contractor to deliver: - Cisco switch Catalyst 2960-X 24 GigE, 4 x G SFP, instead of 48Ports Switch indicated in the tender document. Fiber PVC conduit should be 400 meters of 4 diameter SIX (6) wireless indoor access points instead of the TWO (2) Outdoor access Points with same specifications as is in the tender document. AND install 2 dual data points at the Janitor s office where the cabinet will be housed. 2KVA UPS instead of the 5 KVA indicated in the tender document.

3 6. HOSTEL A Hostel A specifications and requirements to be disregarded and only fiber connection to be considered. 7. FARM Contractor to ignore delivery of the FOUR Nanostations as indicated in the tender document and should connect administration and farm using: Deliver 250 meters single mode of fiber Deliver 22u free standing cabinet with 000 mm depth Deliver ONE 2 port ODF Deliver TWO SC female to SC female (panel-mountable) Deliver TWO 3m SC-LC single mode fiber patch duplex cords No metal trunking to be delivered Other concerns: All 22 U cabinets should be provided with minimum depth of 000mm Size of manhole should be 600mmx450mmx200mm and NOT as indicated in the tender document. 8 core armored fiber will be used for all hostels connections 60 meters of distance between manholes Contractor should do fresh ducting Yealink T42S IP phones should be delivered 30 KVA SOCOMEC UPS and 30 KVA SOCOMEC AVS EATON for 2 KVA s UPS The entire project will have 45manholes Add supply of ONE () HP DL 380 Generation 9 server with following specifications: - 2 Cores or above Fully populated 8 bays with 500 GB (8 SAS HDD) 32 GB of DDR4 RAM TWO hot plug 500w Power Supply or equivalent for redundancy purposes 4 hot plug fans, redundant
