Aim 1: " work with repositories such as ICPSR and FITBIR that can expose DATS JSON with extensive data element descriptions for direct ingestion into DataMed and expose for potential use by other search engines! Aim 2 " helping repositories to provide both biocaddie DATS and schema.org JSON messaging. " will produce a JSON DATS document for each landing page so a repository can embed it in a similar fashion to the way schema.org JSON document can be embedded, to allow harvesting and indexing by bots. These messages can then be harvested on a regular basis from these repositories and also provide examples for other resources to produce similar materials. 8 NCE plans timeline for Aim 1 Month Activities 1 Develop specific use cases, set up meetings with repositories, get necessary APIs 2 Expand DATS to cover more in-depth ingestion (CDEs), begin development of enhancer modules based on this new DATS specification for in-depth ingestion 3 Expand DATS documentation, evaluate the enhancer modules 4 Develop additional ingestor/enhancer and update transformations 5 Run ingestion and iteratively initiate testing and updating, evaluating ingestion process in context of the new DATS specification 6 New data available in DataMed, user interface updated, user feedback (from repository representatives) for data and UI display integrated Supported by the NIH grant 1U24 AI to the University of California, San Diego 8
