Updates- action items Video demonstration next week Generate a HELP and FAQ page Robust server to host biocaddie to be set up Supported by the NIH grant 1U24 AI to the University of California, San Diego 3
Discussion of reported issues Issue no: 63 Your prototype is missing support for collaborative research. It is designed to support individual researchers discovery and access. It needs to provide workspaces for collaborative analyses that are distributed across multiple site. In many cases, the challenge is moving the computation to the application, while managing the execution load. This means being able to run an analysis at the storage location. Reagan Moore from Renci (irods) Out of scope Issue no: 45 Use of quotes for search Needs to be resolved Supported by the NIH grant 1U24 AI to the University of California, San Diego 4
Apply for Inclusion in LinkOut To apply for inclusion in LinkOut, send an to Include the following information: Name, address, and phone number of a contact person in your organization. The scope of your resource, including the URL of the resource. Also, please describe the type of NCBI database records to which you would like to apply links. Describe any restrictions on access to the resource. A LinkOut team member will the contact person within 1 week regarding your request.
Databases available for linking Provide examples of NCBI database records that you would like to link from, and the corresponding target page in DataMed. Out of top 8 repositories deposited in DataMed, 7 are already participating in LinkOut in some way discussion about the scope.
Files for inclusion LinkOut requires two types of files to describe online resources Identity files (XML) Resource files (XML, CSV, Simple Text) These files are specified in the LinkOut DTD. These files include the necessary elements for the NCBI retrieval system to construct an appropriate URL to access specific resources.
Inclusion of more repositories into DataMed : plan and course of action 1CT9ozn0_91W8Ul8nYHzDK3ParoPWewow5lmqlGJKQc0/edit#gid=0 19uxGo9tyA6ahtuA3zS_R0BsVdI_tddAXZrXS5eQc8K8/ edit#gid= Each site should get at least 2 repos mapped/team per week Progress to be reported every CDT meeting with plans for next set of repos for mapping Supported by the NIH grant 1U24 AI to the University of California, San Diego 8
