3 MAF ICIMS Installation Checklist Hardware Installation and Setup MAF ICIMS Server Is the server provisioned and configured with MAF ICIMS software downloaded? Has the Microsoft OS Server been set up and networked? Has SQL Server been installed? Has Internet Information Server (IIS) been installed? Has the ASP.NET component been installed on Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server OS? Pre-requisites checklist Windows 2012/2016 Server Before installing MAF ICIMS system on a Windows 2012/2016 OS Server the following must be configured: 1. Go to Server Manager -> Manage -> Add Roles or Features ->Role based or Feature based installation -> Web Server Select the options as can be seen in the below images (Being sure to expand the Web Server and choose the Application Development fields as well). 3 P a g e

7 Prerequisites checklist Windows 2008 Server Before installing MAF ICIMS system on a Windows 2008 OS Server the following must be configured: 1. Open Server Manager -> Roles -> Web Server -> scroll to Role Services. 2. Verify that the following role services are already installed: ASP.NET, ASP, CGI, ISAPI Extensions, ISAPI Filters, Basic Authentication, and Windows Authentication. If the services are not installed, click on Add Role Services and add the mentioned role services. IMPORTANT! If Windows 2008 is a 64 bit version, ASP.NET must be set in order to allow 64 bit applications to properly run. In this case, in addition, there are 3 more steps to follow: 1.Go to Server Manager -> Roles -> Web Server -> Internet Information Services -> Application Pools -> Classic.NET AppPool -> click on Advanced Settings. 7 P a g e

8 2. On Advanced Settings windows -> Enable 32-Bit Applications -> set on False -> click OK. 3. Go to Start -> Run -> iisreset -> OK. Ports Needed Data Collection To allow access to MAF ICIMS and its various component parts, the following ports are required to be open. Application Description Port MS Lync/S4B Speakerbus 534N Speakerbus iseries AVAYA Cisco GW SYSLOG ODBC TCP/IP FTP MS Lync/ Skype for Business Speakerbus 534N Speakerbus iseries This allows collecting information from AVAYA CLAN ports. This allows collecting information from Cisco Gateways and Routers using SYSLOG messages. This allows the MAF ICIMS Client to communicate with the database. This allows collecting information from PBXs that supports the FTP collection method P a g e

9 SFTP Build-in SFTP server that allows PBXs as Cisco Call Manager to write the call records files on authorized location. 22 Application Description Port Terminal Services This would be opened only if you wish to allow support to access your MAF ICIMS Server via Terminal Services Application and Services Application Description Port HTTP This allows accessing the MAF ICIMS Web pages using HTTP or 8080 HTTPS HTTPS SQL Server SMTP Server Port to be opened on SQL server if MAF ICIMS and SQL Server are on different computers This allows the MAF ICIMS Client to communicate with the mail server P a g e

10 SQL Server 2008/2012/2014/2016 Installation /SQL Express 2012/2014/2016 installation 1. MAF ICIMS works with MS SQL Standard Edition. It can reside on any existing instance, it doesn t require a separate instance itself. 2. If you don t have a MS SQL instance/license available, please download MS SQL Express from the below link: NOTE: SQL Express can be used only for installations with less than 500 users as it is limited to 10GB database size and uses only 1 CPU (poor performance) 3. Launch the setup from MAF ICIMS 64bit installation folder: Utils\Sqlexpr\SQLEXPR_x64_ENU.exe 4. Click on New installation or add features to an existing installation. 10 P a g e

12 6. Feature Selection - Select all features and click Next. 7. Instance Configuration - Click on Default Instance then click Next. 12 P a g e

13 8. Server Configuration Click Next. 9. Database Engine Configuration Select Mixed Mode, type a password for sa (use Code1234) user then click Next. 13 P a g e

15 12. Complete The installation has completed. Click Close. After the installation of MS SQL is done, please check that TCP/IP protocol is enabled. Open MS SQL Configuration and check the SQL Server Network Configuration>Protocols for MSSQLServer TCP/IP Enabled. 15 P a g e

16 Installing MAF ICIMS Open Windows Explorer and run the CodeCallLog.exe. The Setup program starts. After you accept the license agreement, the following dialog box is displayed: Select components window 1. Select Destination folder (default one is C:\Code Software\Code Call Log Task Scheduler): Select Destination window 2. To use the default directory for installation, press the Next icon. You can also use the Change button to specify a different path 16 P a g e

17 Microsoft SQL Database For installations below 500 users, MAF ICIMS supports the Express Edition of the Microsoft SQL Server which is a free, easy-to-use, lightweight, and embeddable version of the SQL Server. The SQL Express is the recommended solution for small and medium enterprises. The Express Edition includes strong features such as SQL Server Management Studio Express, for easily managing a database. SQL Express is limited to 1 CPU and max 10GB size for the database. When installing MAF ICIMS, a database is required. You can either host the database on your local computer by choosing the server name already provided when you installed Microsoft SQL Server or you can access a database on a SQL Server (in this case you will have to insert the IP Address of that server). The authentication for the connection can be made through Windows Authentication Mode or through the SQL Server. Database configuration 1. Installation with MS SQL in mixed mode authentication For accessing a remote server database, you require a user name and password, as shown above. This is for security reasons and it must be specified each time you run DatabaseInstall.exe. 17 P a g e

18 If you have problems accessing the server you specified (local server or remote) you can later access the MAF ICIMS directory (C:\CodeCallLog) and run DatabaseInstall.exe to reconfigure your access to the database. When the execution is finished successfully, the DatabaseInstall.exe application is automatically closed. If for any reason, there are errors within the DatabaseInstall.exe execution, the application will not close and show the error message; it will allow the user (depending on the nature of the error) to access details about the problems that occurred. When installing MAF ICIMS, a database is mandatory, therefore the SQL server name and the type of authentication must be specified in order to be able to create and configure the MAF ICIMS Database. In case of easy installation, the database and the Code user are automatically created by the DatabaseInstall.exe. Note: The MAF ICIMS database should not be restricted in size. 18 P a g e

Installation with MS SQL in windows authentication mode If MS SQL Server is configured with Windows Authentication, then you need a service account which has sysadmin rights that is used at the database install step during the MAF ICIMS installation process. In the below window, please type the full instance path Press Next, choose Use Windows Authentication as well and then press Next. Database is created with windows authentication When the installation is finished, please open services.msc and make sure all CODE services are set to log on as service account: 19 P a g e

20 In the Internet Information Services, go to the Application Pools and create a new Application Pool (call it MAF ICIMS ) Click on Advanced Settings and set the Identity of the pool to run with the service account 20 P a g e

22 MAF ICIMS initial settings 1. Open MAF ICIMS with any web browser and using the address: where Server Name is the name of the machine where MAF ICIMS is installed (IP can be used as well) 2. The default user and password is admin/admin. 3. Follow the wizard on the top right screen 4. Go to Administration -> Currencies and add the default currency: 22 P a g e

23 Select the ISO code (for eg. for Euro, the ISO code is EUR), symbol and decimal digits. 5. You can add as many currencies you need, and you have to set a rate according to main currency. 6. Go to Administration -> Sites, point to the Main site and in the Currency field, select the appropriate value (EUR) 7. You can select the international format you desire. 8.
