(Alternatively, locate it under Start\Programs\Accessories \Windows Movie Maker, or click the Start button, and select Run C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe ). Start\Programs\Accessories\Windows Movie Maker RUN: C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe 2. Under the Movie Tasks\1. Capture Video window pane, click Import pictures.

2 3. The Import File window displays. Browse to the folder containing your PowerPoint slide JPEGS 4. Press and hold down the Ctrl key while you click on each of the JPEG slides to highlight them and click the Import button. 5. After Movie Maker imports the slides, the screen will appear as below.

3 In the next step we will import some audio MP3 sound clips. 6. Under the Movie Tasks\1. Capture Video window pane, click Import audio or music. 7. The Import File window displays. Browse to your audio MP3 sound files, press and hold down the Ctrl key while you click on each of the MP3 files to highlight them and click the Import button. 8. After Movie Maker imports the files, the screen will appear as below.

4 In this next step, we will add the picture slides to the storyboard. 9. Drag the center bar down to locate your first picture slide and click to highlight it. 10. Drag and drop the picture slide into the first place-holder on the storyboard.

5 11. Repeat this drag and drop process for all of your picture slides. 12. To re-order the slides on the storyboard, simply drag the slide you wish to move over to the empty place-holder at the end of the board. The next step is to add the audio sound clips to the timeline. 13. Drag the Center bar upwards until your sound clips become visible, and click the Show Timeline button.

6 14. Drag the Center Blue Line bar upwards (red arrow shown) to expand the timeline viewing pane at the bottom of the Moview Maker window. 15. Drag the Audio clip associated with slide 1 to the Audio/Music timeline (red arrow shown).

7 16. Drag the Slide 1 Audio clip to the left hand bar, the beginning of the timeline << >>. The next step is to adjust the showing time of the picture slide to match the length of the audio clip. 17. Click on the first slide (slide 1) and drag it to the right until it appears to match the length of the audio clip (Slide 1). Before and after shots are shown below in Figures 1 and Finally, drag the blue bar to the right and to the end of the Audio/Music Slide 1 bar. See Figure 3 below. Figure 1 (Before) Figure 2 (After) Figure Repeat these steps until all of your audio has been placed onto the timeline and the picture slides have been adjusted in length to match the associated audio.

8 20. To preview and test the sound and video, timing and presentation of your project, click on Video Slide 1 and press the play button on the Preview screen top right. When you are satisfied with your project, the next step is to convert it to a movie and save it to your computer. 21. Drag the Movie Tasks bar upwards so that the 3. Finish Movie task menu becomes visible. Click the Save to my computer link.

9 22. The Save Movie Wizard appears. Enter a file name for your movie in text box 1, and choose a place to save your movie in text box At the Movie Setting screen, accept the default settings by clicking Next. Note: Saving your movie may take a few minutes.

10 24. Click Finish to complete the Save Movie Wizard. 25. To verify that your movie meets with your expectations, open your completed movie WMV file in Windows Media player and be sure to do so in full screen mode!
