1 EMPLOYER LOG IN, REGISTRATION & JOB POSTING DIRECTIONS 1) GETTING STARTED: Type job into thefort and pick Skyhawks Job Source (Employer Login). Click on START. OR from the Career Services web page click on Skyhawks Job Source Employer Login in the left-hand side navigational bar. Both ways will bring you to this screen below: A. Returning User: Enter in Username & Password then SIGN IN. (SEE P.2 for next steps) B. New User: Pick SIGN UP AND POST JOB to create a new account. (SEE P. 5 for next steps) **When creating an account, it may take up to 1 business day before your new account is approved. **If you forgot your password click on the Forgot password link and you will be prompted to submit your username and click GO. If your username matches a username in the system, you will be sent an with a new password. If you need help, please contact Career Services: Jill or Marie Note: The password creation link will be sent to you separately once your profile is approved from: fortlewis@csm.symplicity.com (software name of our system) with a subject line: Welcome to Symplicity. FYI: No one can see what your password is, it just gets reset if you forget.

2 1A) POSTING A JOB: RETURNING USER From the home page when you log in pick the SHORTCUT on the right-hand side quick links Create Job Posting. (You will automatically be directed to this same page after you fill out your profile information if you re a new user and picked SIGN UP AND POST JOB.) See HOME page screen shot below. COPY EXISTING: This is helpful if you ve already have a good position description in the system and want to reuse it. Just pick from the drop-down menu and select the position you want to copy. If you don t see it, pick the SHOW ARCHIVED to see all your previous postings. Then fill in the new dates after it auto populates for you. Adjust the salary level and location if necessary. You are welcome to attach a full version of the position description or an external link, then click SUBMIT. Ignore this note! Select Position Type, check all that apply. IF YOU ARE POSTING A WORK-STUDY POSITION, BE SURE TO SELECT THAT BOX. Fill out all fields with required (*) red asterisks. Fill out as much additional screening criteria that you prefer for your position. If you leave it blank it will not be included in the description.

3 Make sure to check one of the boxes under RESUME RECEIPT. Check if you re adding someone other than you who you want students to apply to the position. Check OTHER if you want the student to apply to an external website and enter your website link in the HOW TO APPLY box. Finished? Pick SUBMIT. Need to work on it later? Pick SAVE AND FINISH LATER. After you SUBMIT your position, you will see this message below, pick NO THANKS to avoid fees.

4 Next you will see that your position has been sent in for approval. Hooray, you re done! Filled your position? Select WITHDRAW and your posting is automatically taken down. You can now find it in your archived jobs list.

5 1B) POSTING A JOB: NEW USER JOB (You picked SIGN UP & POST JOB): ORGANIZATION NAME. Please use your department name first, then Fort Lewis College. Example: Career Services, Fort Lewis College. Then at a minimum, fill in fields with a red asterisk (*) and your website. Services requested? It s o.k. to leave all SERVICES REQUESTED checked.

6 Finished? Pick SUBMIT. Need to work on it later? Pick SAVE AND FINISH LATER. After you SUBMIT your position, you will see this message below, pick NO THANKS to avoid fees. Hooray! You re done! You should see this message below and can exit out of this screen. What s next? You will receive an (that is probably in your spam folder) from fortlewis@csm.symplicity.com that comes from our system (a.k.a. Skyhawks Job Source) that s titled Welcome to Symplicity it really is us! It will contain a link to reset your password. Career Services will approve your job within 24 business hours. Then it is live for students and alumni to view! More positions to post? Log in (after you reset your password) and post or copy & post as many as you like! 7 2) JOB POSTING TIPS Fill out RESUME RECEIPT and check OTHER to get the HOW TO APPLY text box. Fill out new category: DESIRED SKILLS will display at top of your ad! FILLED YOUR POSITION? Select WITHDRAW and your posting is automatically taken down. You can now find it in your archived jobs list. Returning User Pop-up Question: NOTE: If you selected Jobs > Job Postings > Post a Job to create a new job and not the shortcut CREATE JOB POSTING. You will get this pop-up message below: With this pop up Where would you like to post your job? please pick THIS SCHOOL ONLY to avoid fees.

8 3) STUDENT VIEW To see what the student sees, pick the PREVIEW tab at the top of your posting. This is what the student sees if you filled out these fields (Position Type, Desired Skills, Description, Work Authorization, Qualifications, Location, Salary Level, Job Function, Desired Start Date, Duration, Approximate Hours Per Week, Additional Documents): Please note, if you do not put HOW TO APPLY in your description, the student will not see the directions until they click on APPLY.

9 4) REVIEWING YOUR JOB. From the HOME screen pick the JOBS > JOB POSTINGS in the left-hand side navigational bar. Then click on your job title to view details. You can do the following: JOB POSTINGS. View active local jobs list. Review and/or edit posting details by clicking on the position title. Withdraw a position. Or post a new job. STUDENT RESUMES. Review/manage student applicants. ARCHIVED JOBS. View jobs previously posted. 5) NEED HELP?
