2 1. Login lick the Member Login link located in the Top Menu on each page at ExplorethePearl.com Sign in with the Username and Password you received from the P. If you can t recall your password, click the Lost your password? link below the sign in box. Enter the address associated with your account and a new password will be ed to you. If you can t recall the address or user name of your account, please contact Julie Gustafson, P Executive irector via at julie@explorethepearl.com. Please add Julie Gustafson s address (julie@explorethepearl.com) to your address book so s from the P will not be marked as spam. 2. NEW Member Portal The P Member Portal is your one-stop location for dding Events, making changes to your usiness Listing, learning about Memberto-Member iscounts and participation opportunities in upcoming Pearl istrict events like the unny Hop and the Labor ay Sale. Just log in via the Member Login link in the top menu or the footer menu to return to this page again. 3. Editing a usiness Listing lick the EIT YOUR USINESS LISTING button located in the top left section of the Member Portal. 2
3 3. usiness Listing continued Just enter your contact information, then go to the specific field that needs to be updated and enter your new information. IMPORTNT: Only enter information into the fields that need to be changed. For example, if your hours are being updated, just enter the NEW hours in the Updated Hours field.. ontact Information (required) Please enter your usiness Name, Name, and ddress.. Updated escription Edit your NEW listing description here. This field will accommodate multiple paragraphs.. Special Offers Have a sale, promotion or a happy hour offer to share? Please enter the details here in the Updated escription Field. Just add the words Special Offer before the offer text. E. Updated Hours Please list NEW hours here by day of the week. E. Updated Website address, usiness address, Phone Number, or Social Media account? Enter the NEW information in these fields. F. YouTube or Vimeo Video Enter the share URL address for the video here. No embed code is needed. G. Upload Featured Images your Listing can include (horizontal) JPG or PNG images sized to 900 pixels wide by 600 pixels high at 72dpi or 96dpi. Images should be smaller than 250kb in size. t least one image should be uploaded with a limit of 7 images. Images not meeting these requirements will be cropped down, or re-sized depending on size. 4 4. dding an Event Events can be added by clicking the dd Event link in the right column of the Member ashboard. There are several sections that are required for each Event Listing as well as some optional fields as described here:. Enter ontact Information input your name, address and business name.. Event Title enter the name of the Event exactly as it should appear on the listing and calendar. Include anything relevant for readers that would help them understand your event quickly, e.g. Jane Johnson rt Opening at Gallery as opposed to just rt Opening.. Event escription please enter the details of your event here. This field can accept multiple paragraphs if needed.. ates and Times enter the start and end dates by clicking the fields and selecting the date from the pop-up calendar. hoose allday event, or enter the start and end times, and be sure to include M or PM with times. E. ost only use this field if there is a cost or fee for the event. If it is FREE, please leave this field blank. E F F. Location Information enter the name of the event location (your business, or name of off-site location) and street address of your business, or an alternate address if the event is taking place at another location. 5 5. Social Media Promoting the Explore the Pearl and Pearl Magazine Websites to your customers can drive more traffic to the Pearl istrict in general and more visitors to your business specifically. There are several ways that you can help get the word out about events and promotions in the Pearl istrict.. Facebook please like our Facebook page: and also select Get Notifications and dd to Interest Lists to be sure you see our posts in your Facebook feed. Please also Like and share the posts on our page this is one of the single biggest factors in getting more visibility for Pearl istrict events. enefit: events posted on our website will also be featured on our Facebook page.. Join the P Facebook Group If you are on Facebook (or even if you re not, you can sign-up now), please join the P Members private Facebook group. Only other members can see the groups posts and activity within Facebook. This is an excellent and efficient way to post business questions, share special member s only discounts or offers, or provide quick alerts about local emergencies, including thefts and shoplifting. Make a request to join the private group by typing Pearl istrict usiness ssociation in the search field and click on the Group s link. You must then request to join.. Instagram Tag your Instagram photos with: #pearlportland. enefit: we feature photos with this tag on our homepage. Follow us at: You re invited to take over the P Instagram account for a day! Show off a day in the life of your business, where you go, who you work with, your employees, and more!
