3 Home Page NOTE: If this is your first time entering the Art of the State Exhibit we recommend looking at the Details, Jurors, Categories, Awards, Timeline, Events, Map, Sponsors, and Contact pages to familiarize yourself with the exhibit before entering. NOTE: You can also visit any of the partner s websites you can click the logo s at the bottom of any of the screens. If you would like to visit the State Museum s Facebook page from the Home screen you can click on the Facebook icon on the right side of the screen. Start the Entry Process Click on the Click Here to Enter Button to start the Entry process. 3 P a g e

4 Entry Page Step by Step Entry Instructions Click on the View Step by Step Entry Instructions button to view the step by step instructions of the entry process. Register and Submit Your Entries Once you have read the rules, click the Click here to enter button to register and submit your entries online. 4 P a g e

5 Registering for the First Time NOTE: An address is REQUIRED to be able to enter the Art of the State Exhibit. Name, , and Password Enter your First Name, Last Name, address, and a password into the boxes provided. Be sure to retain your password for future logon s. This will create an account to be used for entering your artwork. Example Click the Signup button when all information has been completed. 5 P a g e

6 A dialog box will appear asking you to verify your information. If everything is correct click the OK button, otherwise, click the Cancel button and correct the information. Address Type in your County, Address, City, Zip Code, Main Phone number, and Website (if you have one) in the boxes provided. Once you have entered all of the information Click on the Submit button to continue. Example 6 P a g e

7 You will be asked to verify your information. If this information is correct click the Submit button, otherwise click on the Back button and make the necessary changes. Art of the State: Pennsylvania YEAR Apply now Read the information about the exhibit and click the Apply now button when you are ready to start the entry process. 7 P a g e

8 Entry Instructions Scroll down using the scroll bars on your right side of the screen until you see all of the Entry Instructions as displayed in the screen shot above. Please read the instructions and when you are ready, click the box I have read and understand the entry instructions. Then click the Continue to Next Step button. My Statement and Resume Either type your Statement and Resume in or copy and paste them in from an existing document that you have created. 8 P a g e

9 Example NOTE: A Statement and/or Resume is not required. If you choose to submit one or both, they will be included in the exhibits interactive kiosks which provide the visitor with information on the artists who have been selected to participate in the exhibition. Once your Statement and/or Resume is entered click the Submit button to continue the entry process. My Statement and Resume Verification You will be asked to verify your Statement and/or Resume. If the information is correct click the Submit button, otherwise click the Back button to make corrections. 9 P a g e

10 General Entry Information Click on the category down arrow to select the category for the first piece of artwork you wish to enter into the Exhibit. Click the terms of entry link and read the terms. Once read click on the box next to I agree with the terms of entry. 10 P a g e

11 Example We would like to know how you found out about our Exhibit. Please fill out the How did you find out about this call for entries box. Once you are ready to continue with the process click the Save and Continue to Next Step button to proceed. Adding information about your artwork Add piece Click the Add piece button to add your artwork in the category that you have selected. NOTE: If you are entering artwork into multiple categories write down what category you selected because once you are in the Add piece you can t tell what category it is that you are adding it to until after you have entered all of the information. 11 P a g e

12 Example Enter the Title of your artwork. Enter the Dimensions of your artwork in inches. (Height x Width x Depth) At least Height and Width need to be filled in to be considered for the exhibit. Enter the Medium or Material used. If you are selling your artwork: Enter the Sale Price If your artwork is not for sale: Enter NFS and also enter the Value (For insurance purposes we need this) Example; NFS $500 Enter the Year it was created. NOTE: It MUST be within the last 3 years to be considered. Click the Choose File button to select the image of your artwork on your local PC or MAC. NOTE: Only Jpeg files are permitted. Also it will not accept any file over 10 Megabytes. So if you are trying to upload a larger file it will give you a message box stating that the file is too large. Resize the file and try it again. 12 P a g e

13 After you have selected your file click the Upload button to upload the image to our site. The site will display your uploading status while it is uploading if it is a larger file. You may have to scroll to the top to see the status. Upload Complete After the upload is completed the site will display a summary of the category and artwork you just entered. If you would like to add other pieces of artwork in the same category you are in click the Add piece button and repeat the same steps in the Adding information about your artwork Add piece section. If you would like to add another piece of artwork but in a different category click the SUBMIT THIS ENTRY button. 13 P a g e

14 A dialog window will display asking if you are done entering all of your pieces. It is asking if you are done entering all of your pieces in this category. If you are, click the OK button. If not, click the Cancel button to go back and add more pieces of artwork to the current category. After clicking the OK button a second dialog window will display thanking you for your entry. If you do not want to see this message again after entering additional pieces of artwork click the box Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs and click the OK button. 14 P a g e

15 Printing your Entry before paying Click the Print entry button to preview your artwork and print out the preview page. Example Click the print this page link at the top right side of the preview window to print a copy of your artwork submission. 15 P a g e

16 Paying for all of your entries Click on the Pay Now button to pay for all of your entries. NOTE: The cost is $30 for up to 3 entries. Additional entries are $10 eachexample; 1-3 entries =$30, 4 entries=$40, 5 entries=$50, 6 entries=$60, etc. Enter in your address and PayPal password then click the Log In button to continue to pay for your entries. If you don t have a PayPal account click the Don t have a PayPal account link to create one. Follow the instructions on screen to create an account. 16 P a g e
