3 Access your Participant Center Step 1: Go to and choose Login at the top right corner of the page. Step 2: Once logged in, choose My Account in the left hand navigation to access your Participant Center. Step Step 2 1

4 Fundraising with Facebook On the homepage of your Participant Center, click on the Facebook icon at the bottom of the page to access the Challenge Walk MS Facebook application.

5 Fundraising with Facebook Step 1: Donate your profile picture to the logo of NMSS, a convenient way to remind all of your friends on Facebook that you're participating and raising money for NMSS. Step 2: Send a stream story using the "Get the Word Out" feature and make it easier than ever for your friends to support you with a donation. Your friends can click directly on the status update that you send through the application to donate to your efforts! Share your story with other participants of NMSS events, and read the stories other participants like you have posted about their own connections to NMSS. Step 3: View your personalized fundraising badge. Your fundraising badge includes a thermometer that keeps track of your fundraising progress, and provides an easy way to check your real time fundraising status in Facebook.

6 Participant Center Page From your Participant Center you can: 1. Edit your Personal Page. 2. Change your fundraising goal. 3. Create your Address Book. 4. Send s to recruit donations or team members. 5. Follow up on your s and donations made to you. 6. Check your fundraising progress. 7. View your team progress (if you are on a team) or Manage your team (team captains only)

7 Participant Center Page, cont d 1. You can update your fundraising goal. 2. You can create your own personal URL (a custom link to your personal Web page). 3. You can make your donations private. Please note if you make your donation form private, when someone searches your name to donate to you, your name will not be visible on the Web site. We do not recommend you select this feature

8 Personalize your Personal Page 1: Design the look of this page for color and layout options 2: Edit the content of this page: You can edit the suggested paragraphs and headers by clicking into any of the three headers and boxes and personalizing your webpage with your own message. You can also add your own photo by browsing your own photo files and uploading your picture. 3: Save your work often! 1 2 3

9 How you can edit your Personal Page 1 1. You can edit the headers and text of three paragraphs with your own message. 2. You can change the title on your fundraising thermometer and Fundraising Honor Roll. 3. You can upload your own photo; maximum file size is 200 kb. Be sure to always save your work and save it often! (The system will time-out periodically and you will lose any progress you ve made if you do not save). 2 3

10 How to Create a Blog on your Personal Page Step 1: Scroll down to the bottom of your Personal Page. Step 2: Check the box for Yes, I d like to add a Blog to my Personal Page.

11 Address Book To create and maintain your personal Convio address book, you can: Add contacts manually by typing in each contact name and address. Choose Import Other Address Book to import contacts from another application you use (such as Microsoft Outlook, AOL, Gmail, and Yahoo!) by following the step by step instructions. The Import.csv File tool will help you to upload contacts from another application (such as Microsoft Outlook and Yahoo!) that you have already exported and saved in a Comma Separated Values (CSV) document

If you send without Save, the original unedited message will remain.

14 Follow-Up Messages From the Follow-ups icon you can: See who you have ed See who has viewed your See who has donated to your fundraising efforts that you still haven t thanked

15 Check Your Progress Sample Progress Report You can check to see the amount you have fundraised and your gift history. Note: If you are a member of a team choose My Team to view your team s fundraising progress

16 My Team (for Team Captains only) 1. Team captains can update their team information by choosing Update Team Information from their Participant Center homepage 2. Team captains can also send a message to all the members of their team. Just type in your message in the text box and click Update Message to Team. 1 2
