1 Creating a Campaign Campaign Overview You can create a campaign to organize all campaign assets. A campaign can contain an unlimited number of content assets. There is also no limit to the types of assets a campaign can contain. A Campaign is a container for content assets. Campaign details include the following: Selecting a campaign type will determine which workflow and which custom fields will be included when creating the campaign asset. When a campaign is created a campaign type is specified, a title and description are entered, attachments are added, and custom field information is specified. Once the campaign is created content assets can be added to the campaign. Campaigns are initially created with a default campaign workflow established by your Kapost Admin. Campaign workflows can be modified for each campaign. Once a campaign is created it will display in the Campaign Catalog. Campaign Views can be created to filter the display of campaign assets. The display of the Campaign catalog defaults to table format but this format can be changed to a timeline format. Both table format and timeline format can be filtered to further refine the display of campaign information.

2 Displaying Campaigns in the Campaign Catalog Selecting the Campaign icon will display all campaigns currently in the Kapost instance. Selecting a campaign from the Campaign Catalog will display all content assets belonging to the campaign. Creating a Campaign Campaigns can be created before all content assets are created, or, after all content assets are created.

3 Steps to create a campaign 1. From the Create New drop down menu select Campaign. 2. In Editing Campaign, select the placeholder value in the Title field and replace it with the name of the campaign. 3. From the campaign type drop down menu select the desired campaign type. Campaign types are configured by your Kapost admin. 4. Specify a start date, and end date, and time for your campaign. 5. Select the Add/Remove Owners field and choose the campaign owner name(s) from the drop down menu. 6. Enter a campaign description into the description field. 7. Select the Add an Attachment button to specify the attachment(s) to be added to the campaign. 8. Enter any customer specific values required for the custom fields that may display. 9. Click the Done button. Adding Campaign Assets Once a campaign is created the Viewing Campaign section displays. You add content assets to the campaign by clicking the New Content button and specifying what type of content asset to create, the title for the asset, a description when appropriate, and the author of the content asset. Creating the content assets for a campaign allows a campaign manager to have visibility into all of the content creation activities for the entire campaign.

4 Steps to add a content asset to a campaign asset 1. From the campaign asset select the Add Content button. 2. Select the content type from the drop down menu. 3. Specify a title for the content asset. 4. Enter a description when appropriate. 5. Select the content asset author from the Assigned to drown down menu. 6. Click the Submit button. 7. Select the Add Content button again to create additional content assets. Steps to create a content asset and add it to a campaign 1. From the Create New drop down menu select the content type to create. 2. Enter a title for the content asset. 3. Select the owner of the content asset from the Assigned to drop down menu. 4. Enter a description when appropriate. 5. Add an attachment(s) using the Add an Attachment button. 6. Enter all customer specific custom field information.

5 7. In the Campaigns field choose the campaign to which to associate this content asset. 8. Click the Save Changes button or wait 10 seconds for Kapost to auto save. Campaign Workflows and Activity Feed The campaign workflow displays to the right of the campaign content asset listing. Your Kapost Admin creates the default campaign workflow. Workflow tasks can be added, changed, or removed from the workflow. Below the campaign workflow is the campaign activity feed. activity entered here is relative to the campaign, not necessarily specific to one piece of content within the campaign. To modify the default campaign workflow use the icons to edit a task, set a reminder, or delete a task. Use the Add Task link to add a task into the workflow. An added task will display at the top of the task list, however, the new task can be repositioned by dragging the task to the desired location.

6 Editing a task allows you to alter the task name, assign an owner, and/or set a fixed or smart deadline. Task owners will receive notifications regarding the task. Task deadlines will enable the task to appear in the calendar. Smart deadlines allow a deadline to be established based on a rule (for example set the task date 3 days after submission of a brief). Increments of time can be set to hours or days. Setting the date can be set using the before or after options used in conjunction with a specific event such as a deadline of a specific task. Smart deadlines will be detailed below the task name in the workflow.

7 Tasks with smart deadlines will automatically get checked when the designated smart action occurs (document is submitted for example). Set a reminder for a task using the clock icon. Specify the amount of time needed for the reminder. A deadline for the task needs to be established for the reminder. The reminder will display below the task name. Steps to add a task to a campaign workflow 1. From the campaign asset workflow area select Add Task 2. Enter the Task name. 3. Select the Task owner(s). 4. Specify the Task deadline or use the Smart Deadline option to set a Smart Deadline. 5. Click the Save button. Steps to modify the order of campaign tasks 1. From the campaign asset workflow area click and hold the name of the task to reposition. 2. Drag the task name to the desired position and release the mouse button. Steps to edit a campaign workflow task 1. Select the edit icon. 2. Edit the Task name by clicking into the Task name field and making changes. 3. Edit the Task owner(s) by adding more owners or deleting existing owners by clicking on the X to the right of the owner name. 4. Edit the Task deadline by clicking into the field and selecting an alternative date from the calendar. 5. Edit the Task Smart Deadline by clicking Smart and modifying the existing smart deadline options. Steps to set a reminder for a campaign workflow task 1. From the campaign asset workflow area select the timer icon. 2. Specify the timeframe for the reminder using the drop down menu. 3. Click the Save button.

8 Steps to delete a campaign workflow task 1. From the campaign task area select the trash can icon. 2. Confirm the deletion by click Yes in the confirmation dialog box. Display the Campaign Catalog in Table View or Timeline View The Campaign Catalog display defaults to a table view. In table view you can specify which columns to display using the campaign column selector icon. You can display all campaigns in a timeline view. Doing so highlights the campaign start and end periods on a timeline. Steps to display a campaign catalog in timeline view 1. Select the Campaign Catalog icon. 2. From the campaign catalog select the view style icon. 3. Choose Timeline. 4. Use the filter icon to filter the campaigns displaying. 5. Use the Zoom In and Zoom Out buttons to see more or less detail about the campaign. Steps to display a campaign catalog in table view 1. Select the Campaign Catalog icon. 2. From the campaign catalog select the column selector icon. 3. Select the check boxes for the columns to be displayed.

9 4. Un- select the check boxes for the columns no longer required in the display. 5. Click the Save button. Display the Campaign Ideas A campaign Ideas section can be displayed in the campaign view. Selecting the Ideas tab will display all content ideas associated with the campaign. The ideas listed can be approved or rejected from the campaign ideas section. Additional ideas can be added using the Add Idea button. Display Campaign Analytics Campaign statistics on the campaign content assets display when the Analytics tab is selected. These numbers represent a rollup of how all of the content within the campaign performs. The information can be collected for categories such as social channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), internal reach (gallery views, gallery shares, gallery downloads, and gallery referrals), and on the web (links). Your Kapost integrations play a major role in what statistics appear in this area.
