1 Visit the Health System website: Select KnowledgeLink to access employee self-service Go to Main Menu, Self Service, Benefits, Benefits Enrollment pg. 1

2 The Benefits Enrollment page will display Open Enrollment. New Hires: You must completely submit all of your new hire benefits before you can access Open Enrollment. After you submit new hire benefits the system may need up to 48 hours to process those elections before you can access your Open Enrollment event. pg. 2

3 If this is your first time visiting Open Enrollment this year, you will be presented with a Spousal Affidavit form to complete. If you have visited this page already, it will not display again. pg. 3

4 The next page is your Open Enrollment homepage where you will see a list of all Open Enrollment benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, etc. Life Insurance is display only this year. Employees may see different offerings based on their working hours and benefit plan eligibility. If you have questions about the benefits information on your enrollment form, please contact us at AskHR@Virginia.edu. pg. 4

5 For benefits that you can change during Open Enrollment you will see an Edit button. Click the Edit button to open up the form to request changes or to update dependents. pg. 5

6 When you click on the Edit button, you will see all of the options you have for that Benefit Plan. Here is an example. As pictured below, you will see radial buttons to select which Plan you want in In some cases, you may have to click on an additional form and accept the terms of that Plan / Account (example: Health Savings Account affidavit). pg. 6

7 On this same form, if you have dependents to change or add, you will need to update them here. After you selected your radial button to pick your benefit plan, signed any additional form if required, and you have enrolled / reviewed your Dependent(s) then you click Update and Continue. Click Discard Changes if you don t want to change anything on that benefit. After you finish working on this benefit you will be taken back to the main Open Enrollment page where you see all of your 2018 benefits changes so you can continue reviewing / updating your other benefits. pg. 7

8 After you are done reviewing all of your Open Enrollment benefits, scroll to the bottom of the page to see your total cost in premiums per paycheck. Then click Save and Continue when you are ready to confirm and submit changes. pg. 8

9 You must review this page and click the Submit button for the Benefits Office to receive your changes. Then continue to the next pages where you are given a chance to yourself a confirmation statement. pg. 9

10 Click OK to move to the next page where you can send yourself a confirmation . You will return to a page that looks similar to where you started. Make sure your address is correct. Your Event Status will change to Submitted, meaning the Benefits Office received your Changes. Click the Send button to receive a confirmation statement. You can return to the system and request changes as many times as you d like during Open Enrollment. Once Open Enrollment ends, you will not be able to access the Open Enrollment benefits form. pg. 10
