1 from the Old NCAA Eligibility Center Web Site to the New Eligibility Center Web Site In an effort to better serve college-bound student-athletes, as well as the National Collegiate Athletic Association's member institutions, the NCAA Eligibility Center launched a new and improved Web site in summer This new Web site will be used by student-athletes who plan to enroll in an NCAA Division I or II college or university in fall 2010 or later. If you are reading this and plan on enrolling in college fall 2010 or later, then you will need to transfer your account from the old Eligibility Center Web site ( to its new Web site ( This document was created specifically to assist you with this process. Please read the instructions below prior to starting the transfer process and keep it handy as you progress through the series of steps outlined below. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions section at the end to help answer any questions you may have in the process. 1. The first step in the process is to go to the login screen for the old Web site. Go to and click on "Prospective Student-Athletes" and then "Registered Student Login" on the left-hand side. Then, log in using your Social Security Number or clearinghouse ID and PIN, just as you have done previously.

2 Page No After logging in, you will be asked to confirm the address that you would like to use for your account. The old Web site allowed different accounts to use the same address; however, as part of transferring your account to the new Web site, you will need to provide an e- mail address that is associated only with the account that you are transferring. 3. Once you have confirmed your address, you will see this screen that instructs you to check your and then click the link toward the bottom of the page.

3 Page No The you receive will look something like this. The most important part of this message is the Verification Code. That is what you will use to continue the process of transferring your account. If you clicked the link on the page shown in Step No. 3 of this document, then you can ignore the link in this message. However, if you already closed the page shown in Step No. 3, then clicking the link in the will allow you to continue the process without starting all over. 5. The next step is to confirm your address by using the Verification Code that you were sent. If you clicked the link on the page in the old Web site shown in Step No. 3, then you should see a screen like the one on the left below where you will need to enter the Verification Code you were provided. If you clicked the link in the message shown in Step No. 4, then you should see a screen like the one on the right below where you will need to enter the Verification Code and your e- mail address. O R This is the Address Verification screen you will see if you click the link on the page shown in Step No. 3. This is the Address Verification screen you will see if you click the link in the message shown in Step No. 4.

4 Page No Regardless of which method you used to enter your Verification Code in Step No. 5, the next screen you see will be the one below. During this step, you will create a password that will be used to login to the new Web site on future visits. You will also select a security question and provide an answer for that question. This is an additional method of making sure that your account is secure and that nobody can access your information but you. Your name, gender and date of birth will be prepopulated in this screen based on the information you provided on the old Web site. Make sure the information is correct before clicking Continue.

5 Page No The last step in establishing your account on the new Web site is to agree to the Terms and Conditions and NCAA Bylaw 10.1 (ethical conduct). The Parent/Guardian section seen in the screenshot below will only be present if the student-athlete transferring the account is under 18 years old. Once you have completed this page, click the Create Account button at the bottom.

6 Page No Once you see this page, that means that your account has been successfully transferred and you are now logged into the new Web site. However, you still need to provide a variety of information about yourself, your education history and your participation in sports. Click the Let s get started! button to move on to that step. If you log out at any point and come back later, you will now go to and use your username ( address) and the new password you created (six to 12 characters with at least one number or special character) to access this NEW Web site. Because you have completed the transfer process, your access to the OLD Web site has been discontinued. You should no longer visit the OLD site. You can discard the PIN that you used to access the OLD Web site as it is no longer active.

7 Page No The first pieces of information you must provide after transferring your account are your planned graduation and enrollment dates. 10. After providing your graduation and enrollment dates and clicking Continue, you will see the screen below. This is the first screen in the About Me section. From here, you can use the blue arrow button toward the bottom right of the screen to move through a series of screens and answer questions about yourself, your education history and your participation in sports.

8 Page No. 8 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Following are a list of frequently asked questions regarding the process of transferring your account from the old Eligibility Center Web site to the new Eligibility Center Web site. Which Web site should I go to after I have transferred my account? Once your account is transferred, you should visit to access your account. You should no longer visit the old Web site. You will no longer be able to login to your account on the old Web site. Do I still use my SSN or Clearinghouse ID and PIN to login to the new Web site? No. You should use the address associated with your account and the password you created in Step No. 6 to access your account on the new Web site. Your Clearinghouse ID (now referred to as your NCAA ID ) has not changed. Although it is no longer used to login to your account, it is still important to keep it handy. The PIN that you used to access the old Web site is no longer active and can be discarded. What if I registered on the old Web site with an enrollment date of spring 2010 or earlier, but now plan to enroll in fall 2010 or later? You will need to transfer your account to the new Web site. However, in this case, you will first need to update your enrollment date on the old Web site before you can begin the transfer process. Here is an overview of how to do that: a. Login to the old Web site ( b. Click the Update Your Personal Information link on the left-hand side; c. Scroll down to Section IV on that page and update your Enrollment Period ; d. Scroll down to the bottom and click CONTINUE ; e. Review your information and click SUBMIT if everything looks correct; f. You will see a popup explaining that you have been logged out and will need to log back in to initiate the process of transferring your account; g. Click "OK" to close the popup; and h. Log back into the old Web site and refer to Step No. 1 at the beginning of this document. I paid for my registration on the old Web site. Will I have to pay again on the new Web site? No. Your payment status from the old Web site is transferred over to the new Web site along with your account. My sibling (or someone else) and I used the same address for our accounts in the old Web site. Can I continue to use this address for my account on the new Web site? No, not unless that address is removed from any other account(s) it was used for on the old Web site. Your address functions as your username in the new Web site, so it must be unique to your account.

9 Page No. 9 I provided information about myself on the old Web site. Will I have to enter that information again on the new Web site? Yes and no. As covered in Step No. 6, your name, gender and date of birth will be transferred over from the old Web site (you should confirm that they are correct). Any record of your transcripts and test scores that was available on the old Web site will also be transferred over to the new Web site. However, due to the differences between the two systems, you will need to re-enter information such as your graduation and enrollment dates, your address and certain details regarding your education history. You will also need to answer a series of questions regarding your participation in sports. I confirmed my address on the old Web site, but have not yet received an with my Verification Code. Where is it? It should arrive within a matter of minutes. Be sure to check your Junk and Spam folders to make sure it did not end up there. In rare cases, the containing your Verification Code may take longer to be delivered due to unforeseen circumstances such as a network outage or other technical difficulty. If you still have not received the message 24 hours after confirming your address on the old Web site, then you should reinitiate the process by logging in to the old Web site and confirming your address again. I received the message containing my Verification Code, but I was unable to complete the transfer process. What do I do now? No problem. You can jump right back into the middle of the process by clicking the link provided in the message containing your Verification Code. Start with Step No. 4 in this document if that is the case.
