1 Online Registration Instructions for Returning Students Students enrolled on the last day of school in the school year can be registered online to continue enrollment in BISD in the school year. A Parent Self Serve account must be established before you can access the Online Registration system. Only Parent/Guardian contacts listed on file can use the online registration system. Multiple studentss should be linked to one account. If you DO NOT have a Parent Self Serve USERNAME and PASSWORD begin with STEP A, otherwise proceed to STEP B. (If you have an PSS account, but have forgotten your user name/password, also proceed to Step B) STEP A: CREATE PARENT SELF SERVE name exactly as listed on file/report card before you can create a PSS account). 1. Go to 2. Click on Parent Self Service icon (top, right hand corner) 3. Go to middle of page and click on Parent Self Serve login. 4. Click Register icon for New User 5. Completee Requested Information, record on this form and proceed to Step 2. ACCOUNT (Important: You must know student ss lunch #, date of birth and spell both the student s and parent s Parent/Guardian Last Name: Parent/Guardian First Name: Student ID: Student Last Name: Student First Name: Student Birthdate: Zip Code of Parent/Guardian Home address: User ID: (you must create a USER ID) Password: (you must create a PASSWORD) Retype Password: Must match your password. Security Question: You must create a security question. For example: Mother s maiden name? Security Answer: You must type in an answer. STEP B: COMPLETE ONLINE REGISTRATION 1. Go to 2. Click on Parent Self Service icon (located at top right of homepage screen) 3. Go to middle of PSS page and click on Parent Self Serve login. 4. Click on Existing Userss Sign In and enter User Name and Password (or click Forgot User ID to rec 5. Click to highlight Student s Name(line will turn yellow) 6. Click the Registration tab 7. Select language: English/Spanish from bottom of page 8. Click to continue to registration 9. Proceed through each of the 10 tabs to complete forms, verify information, submit, and confirm registration. 10. Print or write down the Online Registration Confirmation Number: cover credentials) Note: All returning students who have had a recent change of address must submit proof of residency to their campus. Additional documentation may be requested by the campus in order to finalize registration and schedule student for classes.

2 Tab 1. My Students Select a Student t from the dropdown to register. If you do not see all your students in the dropdown who are currently enrolled, contact your student s campus for assistance. Tab 2. Student Information Review/verify if Student t Information. (Note: Student information on file cannot be modified on this screen. If any student information listed is incorrect or info needs to be added, please continue with online registration and contact the child s campus for assistance with corrections.) Campus Name If you have moved or believe the campus listed is incorrect, please continue with online registration. Onceyou complete the process, you may schedule a visit to the student s campus to provide required proof of residency documentation to update the address and campus info on file as applicable.

3 Tab 3. Parent/Guardian Contacts This tab is for listing parents/guardians as shown on the student s birth certificate or legal court order. DO NOT ADD RELATIVES, FRIENDS OR OTHER EMERGENCY CONTACTS ON THIS TAB. Review/verify Parent Guardian Contact info. Click [Add a Contact] to add an additional parent contact. Click the trash can next to a parent s name to delete. (Note: You cannot delete a resides with parent) A parent s legal rights to custody, possession or access to their student s information is not changed by omitting their name or contact info from this tab. A court order, signed by a judge, is required to modify a parent s legal rights. Tab 4. Emergency Contacts Only add the names of relatives, friends or other available contacts who can reach you and/or pick the student up from school within 20 minutes of an emergency. Review/verify/add Emergency Contact info. Click the trash can to delete a contact. (cannot delete resides with parent) Click [Add a Contact] to add an additional emergency contact.

4 Tab 5. Medical Contacts (Doctor) THIS TAB IS OPTIONAL, BUT ESSENTIAL IN THE EVENT OF MEDICAL EMERGENCY Add the name(s) of the student s doctor(s) if applicable. Review/verify/update Medical Contact info. Click [Add a Contact] to add an additional medical contact. Click the trash can to delete a contact. (cannot delete resides with parent) Tab 6. Review Enrolling Campus Review Enrollment Campus. Campus Name If you have moved or believe the campus listed is incorrect, please continue with online registration. Onceyou complete the process, you may schedule a visit to the student s campus to provide required proof of residency documentation to update the address and campus info on file as applicable.

5 Tab 7. Restrictions Read Restriction Requests. Only check the boxes if you do not give permissions for the stated request. Click Next Tip: Duetovariationsinscreensizes,usethe horizontal and vertical scroll bars to positionandreadinfoonthescreen. Tab 8. Student Forms Click Open Form. Complete form fields. Note: yellow fields are required. Click Submit. Repeat until all Forms show Complete beside the Open Form button. Click Next Tip: Duetovariationsinscreensizes,usethe horizontal and vertical scroll bars to positionandreadinfoonthescreen.

6 Tab 9. Documents Tip: Duetovariationsinscreensizes,usethe horizontal and vertical scroll bars to positionandreadinfoonthescreen. Click Download for each document that applies. Some documents are required and an acknowledgment statement must be checked before moving on with registration. Read and acknowledge the contents. Repeat until all required documents are checked. 10. Confirm Enrollment Registration Complete Click Confirm Enrollment to complete registration for the selected student. Write down the Confirmation ID# or click Print to print a copy of your student s registration confirmation. Click Next to Logout or Register another student.
