1 INSTALLATION GUIDE The latest version of ICPR4, including release notes, can be downloaded at the following link: You will need to open your firewall to icpr4.com HTTP Port 80. Double click the setup.exe file and follow the instructions. Reply Yes to all options including Slim DX if prompted. Beginning with release v , the program is installed in a new folder under Program Files on your C: drive by default. This protects earlier release installations of ICPR4 and eliminates the need to uninstall previous versions. An internet connection is required to authenticate and run the program. An authorization process takes place the first time the program is opened and requires you to enter your serial number and password (issued at the time of purchase). Silent Installs We use Advanced Installer to create our installation program and you can run it from the command line with different parameters including passive (or silent) switches. Here is a link with the information: Please note that there is no way to silently install the license manager because it is not part of the installation. You will still have to manually type the serial number and password the first time the program is executed for authorization purposes. The serial number and password should not have to be typed in again after the first execution.

2 Instructions for Setting Up a Second Install of ICPR4 If you are licensed for both a 1D and a 2D version of ICPR4 and would like to run both on the same computer it can be advantageous to create a second program icon on the computer desktop allowing each icon to point to a different serial number. First install ICPR4 using the setup file provided. For our purposes let s say the first install is the 2D version. The first time you run this you will be asked to enter your serial number and password for your 2D license. The following icon will now be on your computer desktop. Now copy the ICPR4 icon and paste it back to the desktop. Do this by right clicking on the icon. Now right click on the computer screen and hit the paste command.

3 You will now have two ICPR4 shortcut icons to the program. Right click on the second Icon and hit the rename command and rename it to ICPR D. Right click on the second icon again and hit Properties.

4 On the Shortcut tab in the Target: edit box add a space and a new parameter like 1D as shown in the image above. Apply and hit the Ok button. Now when you run ICPR4 from this icon you will be asked for your second serial number. In this example that would be your 1D serial number. Now each icon is tied to a unique serial number allowing you to run ICPR4 as 1D or 2D without having to type in a different serial number each time.

5 Viewing Active License Checkouts To view license/checkout information in ICPR4 there are two options. One option is to access the information in a web browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge). The web address to access the license information is: On the webpage, you will need to enter the serial and password for your ICPR4 license. Then, click Login. Note that the serial and login are identical to those specified in the ICPR Authorization window that is generated when the ICPR4 program is opened. To access the license/checkout information directly from ICPR4, go to Help > Who s Online. This will take you directly to the webpage listed above. Note that you will not have to enter the serial or password when the webpage is access directly from the program. All seats currently in use will be listed on the webpage with the start times, computer names and user names. The license expiration date is provided as well.

6 To view detailed license information, click the License link. The detailed information includes the maximum number of users, license expiration date and company contact information. The type of license is also included.
