1 PresenterWare 1 About PresenterWare PresenterWare allows users to control Turning Technologies polling software through the use of an iphone, ipad, ipod Touch or Android device. The application allows users to open and close polling, view results in real time, open and toggle Response Grids, insert questions on the fly and mark existing questions as Anonymous. In addition to advanced polling functionality, PresenterWare allows for easy PowerPoint slide movement. PresenterWare requires a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate and the presenting computer must be on the same local network. PresenterWare is available in the Apple App Store, itunes and in the Google Play Store. Technical Requirements The following are required for PresenterWare to properly function. One of the following software applications: TurningPoint Cloud or higher TurningPoint or higher TurningPoint or higher TurningPoint AnyWhere Mac or PC or higher Bonjour (optional) For Apple, iphone, ipod Touch or ipad OS 3.0 or higher For Android, OS 1.5 or higher Stable Wi-Fi connection PresenterWare for TurningPoint Cloud and TurningPoint 5 Configuring PresenterWare for TurningPoint Cloud and TurningPoint 5 The following settings must be configured in order for PresenterWare to connect to a PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling session. 1 Open TurningPoint Cloud/TurningPoint 5. 2 If using TurningPoint Cloud, sign in to your Turning Account. 3 Click Preferences in the lower right corner of the Dashboard. 4 Select Connections from the left panel. 5 Scroll to the PresenterWare section in the right panel. 6 Place a check in the box next to Enable PresenterWare Support. 7 Enter the network port number in the PresenterWare Port field. The default port is 6090.

2 PresenterWare 2 8 Optionally, enter the presenting computer s Bonjour Name. TIP To learn more about Bonjour zero-configuration, visit Connecting the PresenterWare Device PresenterWare is able to connect to the session once the configuration in TurningPoint Cloud/TurningPoint 5 is complete. The steps below will establish a connection between PresenterWare and PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling. 1 Open the PresenterWare application. 2 Enter the presenting computer s Host (IP address) by expanding the + icon in the upper right corner of the application. Manually entered Hosts are displayed under Manual Hosts. To enter a Manual Host, select the + icon and enter the presenting computer s Host. The presenting computer s Host (IP address) can be found in Preferences under PresenterWare. Hosts running Bonjour are displayed under Discovered Hosts. 3 Tap the Host or Bonjour Name associated with the presenting computer. A challenge code is displayed on the device when connecting to a Host for the first time. 4 Open PowerPoint Polling or Anywhere Polling. 5 For PowerPoint Polling users, click the Preferences icon on the TurningPoint Cloud/TurningPoint 5 ribbon/toolbar. For Anywhere Polling users, click the Preferences icon on the Anywhere showbar. 6 Select Connections from the left panel. 7 Scroll to PresenterWare in the right panel and click Confirm. 8 Enter the challenge code in the boxes provided. 9 Click Accept. Using PresenterWare After connecting to the Host, the main screen is displayed.

3 PresenterWare 3 Insert Slide/Question - Insert Custom Question, 2-10 Answer Choice, Numeric Response, Short Answer, True/False, Likert Scale 4-7, Essay, Competition View Presenter Notes - View Presenter Notes for the current slide. The icon will turn blue when notes are available. This feature is not available for Mac. 4 PresenterWare 4 PresenterWare for TurningPoint AnyWhere Configuring PresenterWare for TurningPoint AnyWhere The following settings must be configured in order for PresenterWare to connect to a TurningPoint AnyWhere session. 1 Open TurningPoint AnyWhere. 2 Click Settings/Preferences from the launchpad. 3 Select Response Devices from the left panel. 4 Scroll to the PresenterWare section in the right panel. 5 Change the Enable PresenterWare Support drop-down menu to True. 6 Enter the network port number in the PresenterWare Port field. The default port is Optionally, enter the presenting computer s Bonjour Name.
