Refresher Training Training materials are available on the Education Portal at o After logging in to the portal, select 2016 CME Spring Online CME to view the videos and written materials about the X-Series cardiac monitors. Training videos will be accessible on: o Mobicad computers; o epcr tablets; and o station computers under the EMS Resource folder on the desktop. See attachment for Wi-Fi pairing and uploading of cases. epcrs Configured to work with X-Series The X-Series monitors will be issued with epcrs that have been configured to work with the new monitors. Paramedics should avoid swapping epcrs or monitors unless absolutely necessary until the rollout is complete. Verbeek, Medical Director DATE: September 26, 2016 RE: Zoll X-Series 12 Lead ECG Interpretive Notes With the introduction of the X-Series, ZOLL transitioned to a new advanced 12-Lead ECG algorithm for the detection of acute and prior myocardial infarctions (MI). This algorithm, developed by Inovise Medical, has improved sensitivity for identifying acute MI but employs different wording in its interpretive statements from those used by the ZOLL E-Series. Whereas the Zoll E-series uses the statement *****Acute MI***** when a STEMI is suspected, the new Inovise software in the Zoll X-series uses five separate statements depending on the nature of the ST-segment changes. Any one of the following five statements on the Zoll X-series ECG printout should lead to the activation of a CODE STEMI where the paramedic agrees the 12-lead ECG shows the presence of ST-segment elevation consistent with STEMI. 5 1. With the cardiac monitor on, use the directional arrows to navigate to the Wifi icon, and press the select button. ZOLL X-SERIES epcr UPLOAD WiFI WiFi Pairing To pair the epcr and Cardiac Monitor at the beginning of the shift: 2. Use the navigation arrows to highlight WiFi Access Point and select. 3. Use the arrows to scroll through the list, find the tablet number, and select. By holding the arrow key down it will after a few seconds start to scroll quickly through the list. Pressing select will put a check mark beside the selection, and show the Selected access point. Press the home key to return to the monitoring screen. 4. With the epcr tablet on, verify the WiFi icon shows an active connection. The pairing has been completed.

X-Series is selected, and set to WiFi. If not, highlight the X-Series and tap the Options button.

Press next and wait for the available device cases to be displayed.

6 epcr UPLOAD WiFi Uploading Cases 1. With the Cardiac Monitor On, in epcr go to Vital Signs, Medical Devices, Upload and ensure the X-Series is selected, and set to WiFi. If not, highlight the X-Series and tap the Options button. 2. In Options, select the Upload Method WiFi, and press the OK button 3. Press next and wait for the available device cases to be displayed. The current open case will be at the top of the list, with cases shown after most recent to oldest. Select each applicable case, then press Done. Once the files have completed uploading, you may turn the monitor off.
