2 1 Introduction This user manual intends to explain the usage of the site in a view of Univ-Professors. The graphic style manual will be provided to the user for better understanding. a. 7 6 Hola Amigos y Amigas!. I am García Jose, and welcome to the site Colombia Aprende. In the diagram you saw before, There is a dashboard for the Univ-professor, a Dashboard to YOU! We can overview outstanding features and content at once. We will learn how to use the learning content for our classroom, how to follow the new IT trend and catch the news from Ministry of Education and how to use the community for sharing our opinion online. 8 Logging in to eportal a. Registration If you want to experience all the benefits of the e-portal site, you must register on the site. 1. Open your favorite web browser and go to the website 2. Click Register at the top of your browser 3. Fill every field on the registration form

9 1 4. Click the Create new account button. Warning : Don t forget to fill mandatory field(*) Warning : Don t forget to choose the user role as a Univ- student. Because we are Univ- students! 5. After filling all the information, the page will redirect you to main page of the website and meanwhile in your inbox, a welcome message shall be received. 6. Click the confirmation link in , you can move to one-time login page

10 2 7. Click the Log in button 8. You can log in the website. You have to change your password in this page and click the save button on the bottom of page

11 3 9. You can see success message that change password 10. Now you finished complete registration. Welcome to e-portal! Let s enjoy this brand new website together! If we want to experience all the benefits of the e-portal site, we must register on the site. After registration, we will get the confirmation from the system. When we get this , we must click the confirmation link for account activation. You can also register your account via social network account such as Facebook and Twitter. You don t need to click the confirmation by for this process. But you must input the additional field for the site, since the social network account only provides to the system your name, address. - You can skip this step if you already have the account.

12 4 b. Login If you need all features of Colombia Aprende. You should be Login. You can Login on the Login page. 1. Open your favorite web browser and go to the website 2. Click Log in at the top of your browser. 3. Type the User name/password on the form and click the Sign-in button 4. You can logged in and page redirect to My account page

13 5 You can find the Login link on the right top of the screen. Let s login for experience exciting features!

14 6 c. Edit Your Password You can change your password on your account page. 1. Choose My account on the user menu. 2. Click the Edit tab in My account page 3. Type the Current password and Type the new password and confirm password field correctly.

15 7 Warning : Don t forget Current password field! Or it won t be possible for you to change the password. 4. Click the Save button. You can see success message that change password You can change your password on my page. You can find the link of my page on the user menu. You can find the menu between main menu and screen. You also can change your personal information on same page. But remember that your username is unavailable to change. If you change the user name you need to withdraw your current account and register again. (Carefully make the decision for withdraw, since the every content and comment will be removed after withdraw. It is impossible to recover ) Warning : The user menu doesn t appear before login process. You must login for see the user menu and enjoy our site!.

17 1 1. Outstanding educational It is the slide screen which changes images periodically for the announcement and issues the notification to users. 2. Featured Contributor This section shows the popular contributors in the portal. 3. Content Collection Section It announces the main Contents, and can provide the latest information to users in some periodic changes. 4. Quick Menu Section The Quick Menu Section gives Quick Link function to users on the screen such as Project Bank, Resources and Guideline. 5. Poll Section Users can participate in the contents of the Poll that the administrator made. 6. Agenda in Use of ICT Section In order to give users information with one-click, Colombia Aprende shows News, Events, Scholarships, Contests, and Convocations in the Main Page. 7. Experience in Use of ICT Section The Main Page shows the latest contents from ICT Experience. Each content can be registered by the person in charge. 8. Activity for Community Section Contents from the Community section can be divided into Recent, Popular and Featured. 9. School Informative Service

18 2 School Informative Service provides service for detailed searching such as faculty, department. When choosing a content after the searching, the page moves to Colegio searching web site, and users can get the information they need. 10. Career & Academic Program Link When users click Seeking Career, the page moves to the link site MOE provides(snies) After login you will be redirected to the dashboard for teacher such as you. We can see the news and events that were made for us on the dashboard. There are banners we can enjoy to use!

19 3 How to Use Idea Crowd a. Create Idea Crowd Univ-Professors In this menu, You will share your idea with other professors. Let s learn about how to make idea crowd content. 1. Click the title Idea crowd for browsing all the content. You can see the list by clicking the link. 2. Click the Add content button on the bottom of page. 3. Fill out fields on the form, you must fill the mandatory field. Warning : Don t forget to fill mandatory field(*). if you didn t do that, your content will not save. How to upload image? Follow next screen! You can upload your awesome image on your content. File upload process is same with image upload process. - Click the Select File button on the image field. - Choose image file that you want upload. 4. Click the Save button on the bottom of create form. 5. Page will redirect to content that you were created.

20 4 b. Edit & Delete Idea crowd Have you want edit or delete your content? Follow this procedure, you can do that. 1. Click the title Idea crowd on the dashboard for univ professors. 2. Find your content that you want edit and click the content. 3. Click the Edit tab on top of content. 4. You can edit your content 5. After all the modifications have been made, click on the save button. How to delete my content? Follow next screen! You can delete your contents. - Click the Delete button next to the save button. - You can see system message like really want to delete content? - Click the Delete button again - Your content was deleted sucessfully

21 5 Get Involved into Community, Extending Your Social Life : Community a. Get Involved to The Social Network Social Network provides the online space for sharing information between users. 1. Click the Community menu link in Main Menu region on the top of screen. 2. Click the Social network menu link in left menu region. You can choose social network.

22 6 3. Click the Request group membership link. 4. Type the request message and click the Join button. Why are you feel alone? You can communicate with friends who has similar thought as well as me. We can browse the Social networks in Colombia. Let s join to the Social Network.

23 7 If you want get out of the social network, you can do it by clicking the link on the page of social network. Don t worry for getting off b. Create Your Own Social Network You can create new Social Network. Let s learn how to create a network for communicate with many people. 1. Click the Create Network button on the bottom of Social network page.
