5 Preamble The Cost Audit Report and Compliance Report as approved by the Board should be used as source for creation of the XBRL instances Though the XBRL instances of Cost Audit Report / Compliance Report are prepared on the basis of the Cost Statement of the company approved by the Board, they are not the exact replication of the statements. The process of conversion of approved cost statements into XBRL instances requires application of judgment, including, in matters of mapping the cost statement items to the appropriate tags in the costing taxonomy For every fact, where some detailed information or bifurcation needs to be given; a footnote can be attached to it. Every footnote element must be linked to at least one fact [to insert footnote, please right click at desired cell] As per the business rules, all mandatory items shall have values [to know whether the given element is mandatory or not, please right click at desired cell] 5

6 Preamble Creation of the Cost Audit Report in XBRL format and filing thereof, as approved by the Board and certified by the Cost Auditor, is the responsibility of the company. The Company has to ensure the correctness of data and other information contained in the XBRL Instance Document For the current year, the MCA-21 system would allow re-filing of the revised Cost Audit Report/ Compliance Report of the company only in case of an error in the original fillings 6

15 General Guideline User shall create a new file by using SAVE AS and keep the original file intact for future use To know business Rule, use right click at the desired cell CIN No. must be 21 Digits only Pre fill button is provided for adding correct name and address of the company with help of online database of MCA PAN No. must be 10 Digits only Reporting Currency of entity is fixed as INR Footnote can be added at any filled in cell where data exist by right click and entering data into Insert Comment Box Copy and paste will paste Values only 15

16 General Guideline Para 4 to 6 are hidden, it will generate only after filling up data in Para 3 Para 4 to 6 will be generated for each product group which is added at Para 3 Wherever Text Block is available simply click on button Text Block to add details by copy and paste or add text At Para 5 value of product will automatically derived after filling up of Qty and Rate. User can remove the same and put value as per their requirement At Para 6 Operating Ratios will automatically derived from Para 5; User can remove the same and put % as per their requirement Copy and Pate from Word and Excel files is available for Text Block 16

17 Important Tips To copy and paste from another file(s), use Paste Special Value function Alt E + S + V (from excel Files) or Alt E + S + T (from Doc. File) While moving from one file to another file, if Alt + Tab is not working then try Ctrl + Tab To handle many sheets and move around, it is recommended to use Home button or Ctrl + H at any sheet to go to Home Screen. A window lists all visible sheets in the file. By clicking on desired sheet name user can reach to the said sheet. 17

19 Basic Information : Use of Buttons Home Pre fill This button will show Home Screen By using this button user can get the Name and Address of the company Validate By using this button user can validate sheet; colored cell(s) where data is missing or improper user will get red Add Text Block Add Cost Auditor By using this button user can add information or data including Table By using this button user can add numbers of Auditors Add By using this button user can add number of lines at Profit Group Details, Profit reconciliation for Income/Expenses not considered in cost Accounts and Related party transactions 19

20 Basic Information : Use of Buttons Delete By using this button user can delete number of lines at Profit Group Details, Profit reconciliation for Income/Expenses not considered in cost Accounts and Related party transactions Validate All Sheet This button is at Home Screen, it will validate all sheets. It is recommended that this process be carried out prior to generating XBRL instance document. Generate C2XSRF Document This button is at Home Screen, it will Generate C2ZSRF file. C2XSRF is a convert2xbrl secured return format. Upload C2XSRF format in local software and generate xbrl file. Generate Report This button is at Home Screen, it will generate report and user will see it in Internet Browser. It is recommended to use Google Chrome browser as it provides PDF conversion facility also. 20

24 General Information By using Pre fill Button User will get Name and Registered office Address automatically from internet. Kindly press this button only after filling up data of completing this sheet & Form of Cost Audit Report. 24

25 General Information Fill the date in DD-MM-YYYY format only If there is no details of previous year then do not fill the data in First previous financial year. When user have data of P.Y., dates for PY shall be inserted here. Otherwise at Sheet - Product Group Details user will not be able to select yes for Whether PY figures are reported 25

30 Details of Cost Auditor User can add only certain number of auditors which already mentioned at General Information D(iii). By using button Add or Delete Cost Auditor user can Add or delete auditor(s) Lead auditor for the company is only one. Only single auditor can be selected as Lead Auditor. 30

32 Product Group Details By using ADD or DELETE PRODUCT / ACTIVITY GROUP a product/ activity group can be added 32

33 Product/Service Group Details When at the column whether product or activity group covered under cost audit (Yes/No) is selected as YES, then only it will generate corresponding lines at horizontal formats for Qty information, RM, Utilities and Industry Specific element and Abridge cost Statement for CY & PY will be inserted for the said product group When at the column whether previous year figures reported (Yes/No) is selected as No, then data cells for previous year will get locked at horizontal formats for Qty information, RM, Utilities and Industry Specific element and Abridge cost Statement for CY & PY will be inserted for the said product group. If user wants to change from Yes to No at Whether product or activity group covered under cost audit (Yes/No), then the corresponding sheets for Para 4 and 5 will also get deleted If user wants to delete desired product group, user can put cell on said product group and by selecting delete product group delete it. However, if Yes was chosen at whether product/activity group covered under cost audit, then the corresponding sheets for Para 4 to 6 will also get deleted. 33

35 Quantitative Information Kindly use this horizontal table for inserting data of Quantitative information. Name and Code of Product groups will automatically derived from product group detail. Simply fill other details in relevant cells horizontally. After input detail in both current year and previous year. You can view how your data will come out in vertical form by VIEWQTY sheet.any product sr. no input and see view. 35

36 Raw material utility and industry specific Kindly use this horizontal table for inserting data of RMC, Utilities and Industry Specific Item. Please note that this table has 169 columns. You are required to fill up the applicable columns only. Please ensure that no row shall be added in this sheet. In case of need, please go to Product Group Details and add relevant information there only. Product orb service detail s will automatically appear from Product Group Details filled up earlier. Then after input desired values in horizontal rows. These values will automatically transferred to Abridge Cost statement. 36

37 User will allowed to fill up to maximum ten numbers of material Options for Nature of Material Consumed are: Indigenous Imported Self Manufactured Material that select from only drop down menu. To provide any further clarification about material / utility /industry specific wise elements, Text Blocks are also available for each entry for such clarifications. 37

Cost of material consumed, cost of utility and cost of industry specific elements will automatically appear from you previous sheets. To view, compare data with PY and interpret/analyze the cost data vertical format, Please use next sheet - view abridge by inserting requisite Sr. no of the table. 39

40 Abridge Cost Statement Cost per Unit of Increase/Decrease in FG and Self or Captive Consumption are not available in taxonomy, so it is freeze and indicated as yellow cell. Cost per Unit of Other adjustment will derived from Cost of Production or Operation of Goods or services sold less Total cost of production and purchases User can remove formulae by inserting own value / formulae 40

48 Related Party Transactions Related party data is divide in two parts viz. data about the related party and transaction data. Insert CIN will automatically fill Name of the Company. Hence, do fill CIN first wherever applicable. Drill down button is available for selecting country. By pressing Add Related Party, user is asked whether user want to add transaction with the said party. If yes then related party data will get copied automatically. 48
