2 Quick Start Guide 1. Open your username & password 2. Website link double click on the Internet Explorer icon in the bottom left corner of your screen. Once a new page is available, enter the following link; into the URL bar and then click return (other web browsers will also work but may provide varying refresh rates during the Live Bidding function) 3. Enter your unique login details into the relevant panel; 4. The page should now resemble below Page 2

3 5. You have now successfully entered this new Live E-Auction system and are viewing the homepage. 6. Homepage this page displays a main menu bar containing various options and a calendar of upcoming events we think you may find interesting. 7. At this stage you are free to explore the site further. Each page provides a brief explanation to its contents and clear instructions as/where required. To return to the homepage at any time, click the word Home from the main menu bar. 8. If you have any difficulties accessing a page, please don t hesitate to contact the team on Live E-Auctions these can be accessed by clicking the Live Auction tab within the main menu, this will then refresh to the page below, providing you with a detailed description of the required system specifications; 10. The points listed create the optimum user experience. If you don t meet all the system criteria please contact your IT department to resolve these issues. Please be aware that the system may operate to a restricted level without the listed criteria being met. 11. Now click View Live Auction, this will refresh and open up in a new window and will look like below; 12. Select the relevant event in the top left corner there will be some dropdown options. Please select the date relevant option from the list provided and wait for the page to refresh to the below (if you experience any issues viewing the below then please tick the firewall check box at the top of the page); Page 3

4 13. Live E-Auction window this page displays a number of elements, all important to the auction process. Featured panels include (left to right): Page 4

5 a. Live auctioneer this will display the auction as it progresses through each item b. Item - current vehicle being auctioned c. Run List this provides a list of upcoming vehicles which can also be found at the bottom of the page in image format d. Purchased list of vehicles you have purchased during that auction session Page 5

6 e. My info your personal details including address, telephone number and postal address f. Messages allows you to communicate directly with the auctioneer expressing your interest in a unit or whether the bids have gone higher than your range g. Help provides you with all the system requirements and technical terms that may be used throughout the auction process h. Green button - allows you to place a bid at the stated amount Page 6

7 14. Password for security reasons we strongly advise that you change your password at the end of your first visit. To achieve this, please go to the Edit Login option within the My Account tab from the main menu; 15. Once on the Change Password page (displayed below), enter in the new details and click the Submit button to register your new login details. Remember to make this secure yet memorable. 8 Navigating the Site 1. Once you have successful logged into the system you should see the following Homepage 2. This page provides you with a number of upcoming events but also a useful menu bar with various options 3. The main menu bar should display the following tabs: Home, Live Auction, Buy, My Account, Contact Us, Help and Logout 4. Home clicking this tab will always bring you back to the front screen of the system where you can access all areas easily. 5. Live Auction this tab takes you into the Live Auction facility, giving you access to exclusive franchise dealer auctions. These auctions will be ran online with a professional auctioneer and a selection of Volvo assets being offered. When you want to view the auction session simply click View Live Auction Page 8

9 6. Buy this tab contains four subfolders: Available Vehicles, Purchased Vehicles, My Watch List and Search. Each subfolder can be easily accessed by hovering over the Buy tab in the main menu and clicking the relevant subfolder you require as displayed below: Available Vehicles displays all the vehicles that have been loaded into the system ready for auction. This page provides the headline details of a vehicle as well as its auction status. If you are interested in a certain unit and want to find out more, simply click on item link and a new page will open up with all the details you will need. Page 9

10 Purchased Vehicles gives you easy access to the list of vehicles you have bought from the system. This should save you time when needing to refer back to a vehicle you previously purchased. My Watch List helps you tag vehicles on the system and view them all in the same place. We hope this tab will save you flicking between different sections of the site to view the units you re interested in. Search provides the ability to narrow down your search for an exact vehicle. Whether you re looking for a certain model, year or mileage you can adjust the options on this page to quickly access what units on the system match your search criteria. Page 10

11 7. My Account within this tab you can edit your personal login details therefore changing your username and password if you wish. All you have to do is go to the main menu, hover over My Account and click Edit Login. This will then refresh to the page below and allow you to enter in the new details. Remember to click the submit button once you re finished. 8. Contact Us this tab provides you with all the relevant details to contact the team. Whether you have a question about RMS, the new system or particular vehicles please don t hesitate to contact the team as we are happy to help. Page 11

12 9. Help all system requirements are contained within this tab. The points listed create the optimum user experience. If you don t meet all the system criteria please contact your IT department to resolve these issues. Please be aware that the system may operate to a restricted level without the listed criteria being met. Screen size can also impact on the layout of the auction window. We therefore recommend a minimum screen size of 14 (1024x768 pixels). Higher specification screens including 1920x1080 will assist in giving greater clarity of the auctioneer and units available. 10. Logout when you re happy to exit the system please click this tab and you will be securely logged out. Page 12
