Therefore, he will assume the role of Web Manager and will also act as Associate Developer alongside Kristin. Both individuals have ample experience with web development and can fulfill the requirements to complete this aspect of the project. Brianna holds a background in newspaper design and will work as Designer and Content Producer. Kristina will assume the role of Content Producer and Designer. 2 4. Skills needed: HTML5, CSS3, PHP, JavaScript Between the four of us, we possess the skills needed to create the webpage for the library. For any skills we find lacking, we will be sure to utilize tutorials found at W3C, Lynda.com, and other similar sites. 5. Site chosen: Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library Current webpage: Facebook: Stephen is a current employee and feels that the webpage would benefit greatly from a restructuring. He is currently in touch with those in charge of the library. 6. Audience / stakeholders: The audience would primarily be an age group 13~65+ with the focus being on 25~44, primarily women, and proximity is Northeastern area of the state of Georgia, mainly Toccoa, Eastanollee, and Habersham county. 7. Plan to gather requirements: Step 1. Create user survey through Facebook with possible features the site could have and also making it open to comments for any features not listed. Step 2. In parallel to that, add an extra notice to suggestion box within the library for those who would like to see new content on the website. Step 3. Site Description The Toccoa-Stephens County Public Library website will provide a beautiful yet professional online presence for this community library. The first-time visitor will find essential information about the library, such as its hours and location. A catalog search function, highlights of new books, an events calendar, and a link to library account services will give readers reasons to come back and use the library website on a regular

basis. Finally, the library website will connect readers to their community with links to voter registration and to organizations focused on education and employment. 2.

Reference Websites Multnomah County Library ( ): This website utilizes its space well and maintains a nice flow with a pleasing color palette. The Salt Lake City Public Library System ( ): This website is clean and highly functional without being complex. Antonio s Bar ( ): The vertical menu and its interactivity are aesthetically pleasing and highly engaging. Cambridge Central Library ( ): The library website is completely integrated into the county council website, which affects how the information and links are organized. Information Architecture The above chart shows the main pages, links, and content that will be part of our site. In addition to the main index.html page and html sub-pages, we will need at least one.css file, multiple image files, and a.js file for changing the text sizes and handling the new book carousel and any special menu functions. We may not need media files, databases or flat files. Much of the account and catalog functionality are coming via PINES (Public Information Network for Electronic Services, Georgia Public Library Service). We will be linking to that statewide service rather than creating catalog services from scratch.
