Confirm that the Macmillan App is available in your Canvas course Please note that the Canvas/Macmillan iclicker Cloud integration will be enabled in your Canvas course only after the Canvas Administrator on your campus has completed the integration setup with the assistance of a Macmillan Sales Engineer. You will be notified by either your Canvas Administrator or your Macmillan Rep when this preparatory work has been completed Check the Course Navigation panel On the course home page, in the Course Navigation panel, check if the Macmillan app ( Macmillan Learning ) is available. Please note that your Canvas administrator may have named the app something different. - If the app is available there, you may proceed to part 3. Pair your Canvas course with an iclicker Cloud course. - If the app is not there, proceed with part 1.2. Check course navigation settings. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 3 of 15 Version 2.0
4 1.2. Check the Course Navigation settings If the Macmillan Learning app does not appear in the left navigation panel of your Canvas course, then it might be available, but hidden. In the left navigation panel click Settings and on the next page select the Navigation tab (see screenshot below). - If the Macmillan Learning app appears in the list of hidden items, simply drag and drop it into the active course navigation list and click Save. Then proceed to part 3. Pair your Canvas course with an iclicker Cloud course. - If the app is not there, your Canvas administrator will need to add it before you can proceed. 5 2. Pair your Canvas course with an iclicker Cloud course 2.1. Click Macmillan Learning in the course navigation panel to access the Macmillan Tools page On the Macmillan Learning Tools page, click Getting Started... Note: If you experience an error message at this point, refer this help article and check your browser settings. You might also need to disable your browser s pop-up blocker for your Canvas site after clicking Getting Started If presented with Macmillan s End User License Agreement (EULA), review the terms, indicate that you have read them and click AGREE. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 5 of 15 Version 2.0
6 2.4. If prompted for your iclicker Cloud name and address, enter your information and click LOG IN. The Token Registration page will then be displayed The Token Registration pages essentially ask the instructor s permission to perform updates to this Canvas course gradebook during the semester. To proceed, click the Authenticate button On the Instructure App Login page, click Authorize You will then see the success page. Click Continue to complete token registration. Once you ve completed token registration you ll see the Choose Course page On the Choose Course page carefully review the list of courses shown and select the iclicker Cloud course that you wish to pair with your Canvas course by clicking the Associate button. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 6 of 15 Version 2.0

Proceed through the confirmation prompts, by clicking Yes, Associate This Course, then click OK The Macmillan Learning Tools page will be re-displayed and will now include a number of new tool links. These tools are described in greater detail in other sections of this guide. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 7 of 15 Version 2.0
8 3. Set up SSO/registration link for students 3.1. In order for students to receive their iclicker Reef scores in Canvas, they must connect or register their iclicker Reef account through the SSO link in Canvas. To set this up, first click on the Macmillan Learning tool in the left navigation panel On the Macmillan Learning Tools page, click Macmillan Content. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 8 of 15 Version 2.0
9 Canvas will display the table of contents (TOC) for your iclicker Cloud course To create the SSO link, click the check box next to iclicker Cloud Home. Then, click the green Next: Choose Location button at the bottom/right of the page to choose a module where you will deploy your iclicker Cloud Home/SSO link Canvas will display a confirmation that the import operation was successful. IMPORTANT: In order for students scores to be synced back to the Canvas gradebook, you must direct your students to click this link in Canvas doing this will associate their iclicker Reef accounts with the Canvas course. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 9 of 15 Version 2.0
10 4. Import iclicker Cloud content into your Canvas course: Gradebook Items 4.1. To import iclicker Cloud polling session scores to Canvas so that they will be posted to the Canvas gradebook, first select the Macmillan Learning link in the course navigation panel of your Canvas Course On the Macmillan Learning Tools page, click Macmillan Content. Canvas will display the table of contents (TOC) for your iclicker Cloud course. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 10 of 15 Version 2.0
11 4.4. The presence of a red arrowhead alongside any iclicker Cloud content header in the TOC indicates that this item is a folder which can be expanded to view additional content. To expand the view of a folder, click the arrowhead To import iclicker Cloud sessions into Canvas, select one or more sessions from the TOC by selecting the checkbox for each. Click the red arrowhead alongside your iclicker folder to expand the folder and view all available sessions. Then, click the green Next: Choose Location button at the bottom/right of the page to choose a module where you will deploy your iclicker Cloud sessions Canvas will display a confirmation that the import operation was successful Close the confirmation tab to return to the Macmillan Learning Tools page in Canvas. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 11 of 15 Version 2.0
12 4.8. Proceed to the Modules (or Assignments ) area in you Canvas course and confirm that the imported iclicker Cloud items are there. Then publish them in the course If you wish, proceed to the Grades area of your Canvas course and confirm that the iclicker Cloud assignments are there. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 12 of 15 Version 2.0
13 5. View Roster Information Instructors can use the Macmillan Roster Information page to track which students have completed SSO (single sign-on) registration with iclicker Cloud from Canvas. The gradesync function will synchronize grades for only those students who have completed SSO registration from Canvas. You can use the roster information page to identify which students need to be reminded of the need to complete SSO registration To access the Macmillan Roster Information page click the Macmillan Learning link in the course navigation panel of your Canvas course. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 13 of 15 Version 2.0

On the Macmillan Learning Tools page, click Macmillan Roster Information On the Macmillan Learning Roster page, confirm that all students actively enrolled in your Canvas course have an address listed in the Macmillan Learning Account column. Only students who have completed the SSO registration from Canvas will appear in the roster. Students not listed on this roster will be excluded from any syncing of grades. This can be corrected by simply clicking the SSO link, however students must use the same address being used in their iclicker Reef accounts. iclicker Macmillan Learning Page 14 of 15 Version 2.0
