Aloha fellow Rotarians A message from President Don Rock Arakaki: Aloha Fellow Rotarians, I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with peace, good health and happiness. We are nearly completed with the first six months of this year and as your President for WCRC, it has been challenging, yet fun. I extend my gratitude to our officers and Board Members for their support and to our members for making WCRC a great club. We were very active during this period and participated in 17 projects, living up to our motto: Service Above Self. The dictionaries are being distributed to most schools. We still need volunteers to support the remaining schools Mahalo to Joe Lapilio, Jim Savelli, Scotty Moore, Fran Ah-Nee Anson Rego and Gail Gomes for delivering dictionaries to Leihoku Elementary on 12/18. DJ DeTomaso did an outstanding job with the toy drive for the Boys and Girls club in Waianae. Besides funds being provided by our Club Foundation, our members made monetary contributions and donated toys that will be given to the
2 homeless children on the Waianae Coast. Our Calendars have been printed. 5 Thought of the Week. Let Every Day Be Christmas By Norman Wesley Brooks Christmas is forever, not for just one day, for loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away like bells and lights and tinsel, in some box upon a shelf. The good you do for others is good you do yourself. Peace on Earth, good will to men, kind thoughts and words of cheer, are things we should use often and not just once a year. Remember too the Christchild, grew up to be a man; to hide him in a cradle, is not our dear Lord s plan. So keep the Christmas spirit, share it with others far and near, from week to week and month to month, throughout the entire year! written December 17th 1976 by Norman Wesley Brooks U.S. Design Engineer ( ) REMEMBER A ohe hana nui ke alu ia No task is too great when done together by All HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL THE FOUR - WAY TEST Of the things we think, say or do: 1.
