! Managing your Hardware Token

1 You will receive a Hardware Token during initial Exostar registration. You are not required to activate your Hardware Token; however, we strongly suggest that you have more than one active OTP device. The Hardware Token is a small device that you can use to retrieve an OTP and is independent of a wi-fi or other internet connection. You can manage your hardware token by accessing your account. Once accessed you have the option to add, remove or resync a device. This can be done independently of your EHR and NewCrop. If you need to reset your Hardware Token, contact your EHR for assistance. Your account is located on the Admin Tab of the NewCrop Screens under the link Manage Your EPCS Account : 1. Log into your EHR and access the NewCrop screens. 2. Once in NewCrop, go to the Admin Tab: 1

3 You must authenticate into your account by using one of your ACTIVE OTP devices or via a text message or phone call. If you have NO methods available, you will be required to revoke your account and go through the registration process again. Add and activate a Hardware Token: To add a Hardware Token to your account, click Add Token: 3

4 Enter the serial number from the back of the Hardware Token, click the button on the front and enter the first passcode you see. Click again and enter the second passcode you see. The serial number for the token the largest number that is found directly above the barcode. Enter both the letters and numbers as displayed. 4

6 Deactivate a Hardware Token: A Hardware Token can be deactivated (if lost or broken) by clicking Deactivate Token. You will be asked to confirm this action. Once confirmed, the Hardware Token cannot be used (reactivated) again. You must add a new, never before used Hardware Token. New Hardware Tokens can be purchased directly from Exostar. Only one Hardware Token can be active on an account at a time. 6

7 Resynching the Hardware Token:! A Hardware Token can get out of sync if the button is inadvertently pushed too many times. The token will need resynching if the button is mistakenly pressed more than times. The best way to avoid mistakenly pressing too many times is to never put the Hardware Token in your pocket or loose in a purse or satchel. To Resync a Hardware Token, click Resync: Click the button on the Hardware Token, enter the first code for Password 1 and enter the OTP. Repeat for Password 2. Click Resync: 7

8 Resetting the Hardware Token: Resetting of your token will be necessary if the resyncing process fails or if the button on the Hardware Token has been mistakenly pressed more than 75 times. Please contact their EHR system support desk to get the token reset. Note, this process will require coordination by the end user, EHR Support and Exostar. Replacement Hardware Token: In the event your hardware token needs to be replaced due to loss or damage, please contact your EHR. Your EHR will contact NewCrop who can order a replacement hardware token on your behalf. Spare Hardware Token: If needed, you can purchase a spare hardware token from the Admin Tab in NewCrop: 8
