2 . TO THE GRINDCARE APP The Butler GrindCare Device (GrindCare ) monitors and records your teeth grinding or clenching activity throughout the night. THE GRINDCARE APP IS COMPOSED OF THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS: The GrindCare App (App) allows you to visualise this activity on your smartphone or tablet. It is a great tool to track your progress and it s easy to use. The data can be seamlessly transfered from your GrindCare Device to your App when you wake up. The GrindCare App is available free of charge on smartphones and tablets. MAIN Allows you to review your last night s grinding or clenching activity. HISTORY Allows you to track your activity over time, view the details of each night, all through intuitive and clickable bar graphs. DIARY Allows you to add daily notes so that you can view how you felt on any particular night.

FIRST TIME USE INSTALL THE GRINDCARE APP ON YOUR SMARTPHONE OR TABLET CONNECT THE DOCKING STATION TO A POWER OUTLET TURN ON BLUETOOTH & OPEN THE APP IOS: Go to the App Store and search for GrindCare. Download and install the App. ANDROID: Go to Play Store and Search for GrindCare. Download and install the App. Make sure the Sensor is placed in the Docking Station, and that the Docking Station is connected to an active power outlet. PAIR GRINDCARE APP WITH YOUR DEVICE The first time the App is opened, you are prompted to ENTER THE LAST FOUR DIGITS of the serial number of your Docking Station. The serial number (SN) is found on the label at its bottom (see picture). SN D0000 GrindCare pairing Please enter the last digits of the serial number of the Docking Station you want to pair with OK Cancel 5 When you have entered the last four digits of the serial number, press OK and the App will pair with your GrindCare Device. The device status on your App will change to CONNECTING and then CONNECTED. Connecting... Connected

DATA SYNCHRONIZATION 6 IF YOU HAVE ALREADY USED GRINDCARE, the device status on your App will change to SYNCHRONIZING and data will be copied from GrindCare Device to the App. Synchronizing GOOD TO KNOW: If the data on your Docking Station and your App is different, a notification will appear. You can choose either to delete data in the Docking Station or in your GrindCare App. Your data will be stored on both GrindCare Device and your App. When the synchronization is completed, the device status will change back to connected. You can now review your results and add diary notes. IF YOU HAVE NOT TRIED YOUR GRINDCARE yet or you deleted data, your MAIN and HISTORY section will be empty and you will not be able to access DIARY. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DELETE DATA ON THE DOCKING STATION, this data will be deleted and the data from the App will be synchronized with your Device. IF YOU CHOOSE TO DELETE DATA IN THE APP, this data will be deleted and the data from the Docking Station will be synchronized with your App. The time required for synchronization will vary and will depend on the size of the data. Once deleted, data cannot be restored

MAIN SECTION In the MAIN section of your App, you will find an overview of the most recently transferred night time data. 5 MENU TAB: Allows you to see information relating to the App and your Device, to view the stimulation level of your Sensor, to manage data and pair your phone/tablet with your Docking Station. DEVICE STATUS: Indicates whether the App is connected to the Docking Station and if the data is being synchronized or deleted. Connecting... Not connected Deleting Synchronizing SESSION DATE: Indicates the date of the last night you started to use GrindCare Device. 6 5 SESSION TIME: Indicates how long you slept with the GrindCare Sensor and at what time you started using it. NUMBER OF GRINDS: Shows the number of grinds detected on a particular night GRINDS PER HOUR: Each bar indicates the number of grinds detected at a particular hour of the night. 7 DIARY BUTTON: Allows you to enter the DIARY section of the App. 8 HISTORY BUTTON: Allows you to enter the HISTORY section of the App.

6 . MENU TAB Instruction Stimulation level INSTRUCTION: Gives you an introduction to the GrindCare App and how to use it. STIMULATION LEVEL: Allows you to see the stimulation level of your Sensor. MANAGE DATA: allows you to - Copy data to the Docking Station Manage data All data (your grinding activity and diary notes) will be copied from your smartphone/ tablet to the Docking Station. This may prove helpful if you are switching phone or tablet. Pair with new Docking Stati... About 5 - Delete all data in the Docking Station All data (your grinding activity and diary notes) will be deleted from your Docking Station. Your data will be still available in your App. PAIR WITH NEW DOCKING STATION: Allows you to connect with a new Docking Station. This may be helpful if you get a new GrindCare Device and want to continue registering your progress using the same smartphone/tablet. 5 ABOUT: Get information about your GrindCare device and App version. GOOD TO KNOW: The placement of the MENU TAB may vary depending on the type of smartphone/tablet. You may need to click on your phone to access the MENU TAB.

7 . DIARY SECTION To enter the DIARY section, tap the DIARY button located on your MAIN screen. In this section, you can add daily notes so that you can view how you felt on any particular night and also help identifying possible triggers of your grinding/clenching. To record how you felt upon waking up, select a smiley emoticon. The selected emoticon will stay lit while the other smiley faces will turn grey. Tapping anywhere in the notes field will enable the keyboard, and allow you to enter your diary information: Record how well you slept that night. Enter observations, life events or activities that you may later correlate with your grinding data. This will help you identify your primary grinding triggers. When finished, click Save and you will return to the MAIN section.

8 . HISTORY SECTION To enter the HISTORY section, tap the HISTORY button located on your MAIN screen. In the HISTORY section, you will be able to track data over time and view details of each night s activity. 5 5 Each bar corresponds to the total number of grinds recorded during a particular night. Under each bar, you will find a number and a colored block which indicate how you personally rated the night (your choice of smiley emoticon). Under each bar, you will also find a date which indicates when you recorded the session. You can select a bar by tapping once on it. The bar s background will become light grey. By tapping twice on a bar, you can view the details of a specific session. The color of the bar indicates whether the session was with or without stimulation: if the bar is GREY, the stimulation level was 0, if it is BLUE, the stimulation level was or more.

9 . HISTORY SECTION You can access details of each night s grinding activity by tapping twice on a specific bar in the HISTORY section. On this screen you can see: - Date and time of the session, - Total number of grinds, - Number of grinds per hour, - Your rating and personal notes. You can edit the diary data at any time by tapping the Edit diary data button at the bottom of the screen see Diary section.

12 . FAQ B. HOW DO I CHECK THE STIMULATION LEVEL OF MY GRINDCARE DEVICE? Ensure the Sensor is in the Docking Station and it is connected to a power outlet Open the MENU tab & Select Stimulation level The Sensor s Stimulation level will appear on the screen Your Device and your App must be paired and the device status should indicate CONNECTED on the GrindCare App Stimulation level Instruction Stimulus level of 9 Stimulation level Manage data Pair with new Docking Stati... About Connected GOOD TO KNOW: When the device status is not connected or the Sensor is out of the Docking Station, it is not possible to view the stimulation level.

13 . FAQ C. HOW DO I HIDE DATA? Click on the HISTORY section Open the MENU tab, click on Manage data and select Hide data Enter the value above which you would like to hide the data If you would like to unhide data, go to the HISTORY section, open MENU, click on Manage data and select Unhide data. The data will be shown automatically. GOOD TO KNOW: It is not possible to hide or delete single bars in the HISTORY section.

14 . FAQ D. HOW DO I DELETE DATA IN THE GRINDCARE DEVICE? Open the GrindCare App and ESTABLISH Make sure the Sensor is in the Docking Station and the Device is connected to a power outlet A CONNECTION with your GrindCare Device Wait until your data is synchronized and the device status on your App changes from SYNCHRONIZING to CONNECTED Open the MENU tab and click on Manage data. About Manage data Copy data in Docking Station Delete data in Docking Station

15 . FAQ D. HOW DO I DELETE DATA IN THE GRINDCARE DEVICE? ENTER THE LAST DIGITS of the serial number (SN) of your Docking Station 5 Read the notification and CLICK OK 6 The data deletion is IN PROGRESS Deleting You can find it on the label at the bottom of the Docking Station (see picture below) When the data deletion is completed the device status on your App will change to CONNECTED Connected Delete data Please enter the last digits of the serial number of the Docking Station you want to delete data from OK Cancel At the end of the deletion process, it is recommended to clear the data stored on your smartphone. Otherwise, the data stored on your smartphone will be copied to your Docking Station next time a connection is established. Delete data We recommend to clear the data stored on your smartphone. SN D0000 Delete data Cancel If this data is no longer required, choose DELETE DATA.

16 . FAQ E. HOW DO I DELETE DATA IN THE GRINDCARE APP? ANDROID DEVICES To delete data in the App, go to your phone SETTINGS > APPLICATION MANAGER, open the GRINDCARE APP and select CLEAR DATA GOOD TO KNOW: When the data on the App and the Docking Station do not match, you will be prompted to delete the data either on the App or on the Docking Station.
