3 Overview This document walks you through configuring an anonymous user environment for pay and release for copy and print using a ITC Elite using an ITC 5400 coin dispenser. In an open lab environment, when workstation level authentication isn t available, the GoPrint Web Client popup running on lab workstations provides the ability for users to create unique temporary Release ID s and Passcodes used to identify and secure print jobs for pay and release at a Elite. These identifiers are stored in cache only and no longer exist once the print job is deleted or released. How it works! When a user sends a print job the Web Client popup appears. They re then allowed to view and select their print job and prompt to enter a random Release ID and Passcode and then send to Elite. The user walks over to the device and enters their code. If successful, their job appears and are selected. At that point, they re prompt for payment of choice. Configuration Overview Required Port: The GTX server needs to communicate to the Elite device over incoming port 7768 The Web client pop up communicates to the GTX over ports 7768 or Programming the Unit: 1. Place the unit of the Network 2. Log into the Elite 3. Note the DHCP address and make status 4. Enter the IP address of the GoPrint server 5. Enter a unique Terminal ID for each device 6. Unpacking the Elite For packing purposes cables are tucked securely down in the bottom of the unit. Pull out all cables to separate and access the power cord. A network cable is included.

Additional power outlets: If additional power outlets exist, plug them into the provided surge protected located inside the bottom of the unit. 17 GOPRINT CONFIGURATION ALL devices must be assigned to a previously configured Quota Pay Method and associated with Quota user accounts as defined in the appropriate User Class. For complete details on Quota Pay Methods and Quota user configuration refer to the Quota Quick Start configuration document or the Control Center Help section. Important: Once the device is configured in GoPrint, you MUST walk over to the device or use the Remote Configuration tool to REBOOT it. Then navigate to the About tab to ensure the device is listed. 19 3 - ADD A NETZCOM DEVICE Enter the required Device Settings GENERAL Name: Create a user-friendly name to help identify the device. A short name based on the physical location the most effective. The name is captured under GoPrint reports to provide individual results by device. Typically, it s near the associated printer. Optionally, you may associate ALL print queues for a Follow Me printing effect allowing users to walk over to any device to release their print job. 23 Create a Web Client Profile Warning: the web client requires the proper workstation DNS resolution. Conflict occur resulting in the web client not popping up or displaying print jobs. Scroll down to the middle of Control Center home screen and: Click Add a Web Client 1. Location ID: create a user-friendly name to easily identify the profile. Note: when required to use multiple web client profiles the Location ID is used to input into the web client Preferences section 2. Associate it with a PayPoint 3. 24 Behaviors tab 1. Check GUEST USERS 2. Session Timeout: Change the default from 60 minutes to something shorter. In an anonymous environment when unique logons aren t required it s recommended to create a short user sessions timeout of around 5 to 10 minutes. Note: when a user sends a print job and doesn t send it to a release station, the job remains in the queue for the next user to review and accidently claim and pay for. Setting a short Purge Unpaid jobs setting at the queue level helps to resolve accidental occurrences ITC Systems. All rights reserved. Elite Guest Mode Configuration 24

25 Guest mode behavior defaults to forcing users to send print jobs to a PayStation for release and must be checked. Since lab workstation most likely will not have unique logins and will be using a generic logon for each workstation print job matching by username doesn t come in play so the system automatically defaults to Workstation Only when Guest mode is enabled. 1. Allow Payment At: Must be set to PayStation This is the Payment mode looking for a form of payment 2. Workstation Only Using Workstation only, GoPrint attempts to match on the IP Address of the workstation to uniquely identify where the job originated from. 26 DISPLAY Since Quota user accounts aren t generated, various account tabs do not perform any function and will only confuse the user. Disable the following: 1. Show My Account Tab 2. Show Print Job History 3. Show Transaction History 4. Show Print Job History Release Code for End Users Optional if you want users to enter a Release code for additional server: similar to a password In addition to the Release ID, The Release Code provides an additional level of security by requiring users to enter a passcode to secure their print job.
