1 RELEASE NOTES FOR MEDFORCE WINDOWS CLIENT Release Version: ABOUT THIS RELEASE This release features the new Manage task split screen in WorkFLOW. Also, includes two new features when multi-selecting and saving batches (from Build 228 onwards). NEW FEATURES MEDFORCE SCAN 1. There are two new features when Multi-selecting and saving batches:[43898][build 228] a. Delete page(s) from a batch without having to save a batch first. Deleting all the pages in a batch will automatically move the batch to archive. b. New button available that will allow the user to Skip to next batch. 2. There are 3 new options in Administration Settings under ERN linking settings- If more than one matching patient is found [38705]: a. Don t link to either patient (Default Setting) b. Link to oldest patient c. Link to newest patient 3. The Saved Scanned Batches window has a new button Rename Batches that will allow a user with access rights to rename the Batch Description Field. The new access right Rename Scan to Batch will be set to DENY by default. [41449] 4. Added the ability to delete a scheduled service from the Manage Schedule Service screen clicking the X icon. [35502] 5. Added a new Batch Description Zone button in the Template Designer that reads data from the batch description field in Save Scanned Batch. Data from the batch description can now be used for auto-filing templates. [38123] 6. For security purposes, after a predefined amount of time a user will be automatically logged out of the system regardless of activity. [42023] 7. When saving consecutive documents from the Auto-filing Results screen, the cabinet file search window will now focus on the last saved file record.[42701] 8. In the auto-file results screen, when trying to manually save an unsuccessfully filed document using a Reading Template, the system will no longer make the user select a classification template first before being allowed to save. 2 D&R 11. When using Import Header to import data to a static cabinet, having the file name and file number fields are no longer required for a successful import. Only file name or file number will result in a successful import of data. [41228] 12. Security Updates to MedFORCE components that use TLS communication (including UPS). [43563] 13. Error messages will now appear if an error is encountered while creating a form in Forms Designer [42151] 14. Shipment Tracker has a new option to import tracking information using Company Name [42964] 15. A new Forms list button is available in the Form Designer component palette which allows the user to print a predefined list of forms. The user can add multiple copies of the same form and the button can be placed in either the parent or the child form. [37630] 16. The Last Successful Log in Date column has been added to the MedFORCE Users report. This column can be excluded from the report by changing the Audit Login administrative settings to No audit [43830] 17. Document Properties fields have been added to the External Link tool. In Manage Remark Codes, a user can now enter upper and lower case characters in the description. [43960] WORKFLOW 1. There is a new Manage task split screen which allows a user to view two tabs side by side. The user can also move tabs left or right according to the user s preference. [38014] 2. There are new access rights for WorkFLOW creation rules. By default, the access right will be set to ALLOW. [38029] 3. When creating a WorkFLOW view, the Payor Name field will now be available for selection as a filter for the ERN form. Also, the Payor Name field will also be available for selection as an extra field from the ERN form. [43121] 4. An ERN that is linked to a WorkFLOW task but not a patient can be viewed by double clicking on the ERN record line in the WorkFLOW view.[44239][build 231] 5. 3 FIXED FEATURES MEDFORCE SCAN AND D&R The following fixed features for MedFORCE Scan are included in this release: 1. Child form s records in grid mode can be deleted. [37018] 2. Added the word Document to the window title of the Documents Audit Log report. [37019] 3. Bin contents summary report will print a linked report successfully when the following parameters are selected [37074]: a. Deposits and EOMB cabinet b. Bin Properties: Bins with documents for ALL bins c. Filtered by: Documents scanned date d. For All Companies 4. The Schedule ERN Imports screen has been revised to exclude unsupported formats. The only input format is HIPAA and the Med-ACT checkbox has been removed. The default file extension for imported ERNs has been changed from X12 to *. [37521] 5. When running import header, data will not be imported to deleted child forms nor will it attach deleted forms to WorkFLOW tasks. [38574] 6. Imported ERNs with same Payor IDs but different Payor Names will create a record for each Payor Name. When creating an ERN analysis report, this will allow a user to filter by Payor Name. [39296] 7. A user with Seat or Seat view only license to a product will be able to log into only one instance of the product at the same time. If the user logs in to a new instance the old instance will be logged off automatically by the system. [40349] 8. Overlapping font in Forms Designer has been fixed. [40353] 9. Remittance Date field is now populated for Redetermination Requests in the Patient Information tab for an ERN claim.[43214] 10. Exporting data using Company Name and/or Company Code as parameters for the Patient Form that has child forms included no longer generates errors. [43316] 11. When exporting data, the user can now select an Export (file) Type other than.csv. The user will be able to select a.txt file type as well. [43317] 12. When exporting data from MedFORCE in a.csv format, the file generated will no longer error out when the file is opened. [43320] 13. Entering text on a Form s memo field with different fonts will no longer cause the text to overlap when printing the form. [41700] 14. After un-stapling a page from a multi-page document, the focus of the document viewer will stay on the page that was just unstapled. [41538]

When printing a document from any cabinet or from a document that is attached to a WorkFLOW, using the Print Header Options for User ID and Date Scanned will print the following as the document s header [41444]: a. The user ID of the user scanned the document into MedFORCE. b. The date when the document was scanned into MedFORCE 16. When manually saving documents into a bin, the thumbs tab will now show unstapled documents in the correct order without repeating subsequent pages when the Unstaple All button is used. [43340] 17. Improved the stability of importing and exporting form data. [42360][40888] 18. Copying a stapled document into a bin by right-clicking on the grey bar will copy all the pages in the stapled document. [43514] 19. If a scheduled ERN import is set to send out an report, if patients are either added or updated, the schedule service will no longer assume that a report file is available. Thus, an report with an Attachment not found message will no longer be generated. [43186] 20. Users will no longer receive Access Violation errors when pasting text into Forms Designer [43624] 21. User can access the USPS registration form to obtain a valid User ID from the registration link in USPS Tracker. If a user enters the wrong User ID in USPS tracker, the system will display an error message but will NOT freeze the application. [43634] 22. When print previewing a custom fields form on a WorkFLOW task, the preview image will no longer default to a large zoom value that the user can no longer view the form. [43713] 23. Printing a form with look up fields using the Calibri font will now print the values of the look up fields. [43645] 24. Importing to batch, a file, with the same filename as a file in archive will no longer result in the file in archive getting overwritten by the file being imported. The system will rename the file being imported by appending a time stamp to its original filename.[31715] 30. When a view is grouped, if the task selected is moved out of the view, the next task in the view will be selected. The system will no longer randomly select a task in the view.[44016] [44162]

5 31. Improved the performance and reliability of the Cancel button when a large amount of WorkFLOW tasks are grouped in a view. [44151] 32. Fixed a bug in Forms Designer that was duplicating records in the Child Form button in grid mode. This happened whenever another child form button was clicked in the Parent Form and either the Save, Save and Close or cancel button was clicked.[44237][build 228] 33. An audit record will be generated even if the user does not have a valid first name or last name in their user profile. [44128][Build 228] 34. Extra attachments in a task will no longer be generated when saving a multi-page batch with the auto-create tasks option and stapling only some of the pages together. [44562][Build 236] 35. For custom reports that are saved as a.csv file, data with commas will be enclosed in double quotes to avoid data shifting to the next field [44049][Build 237] 37. When moving from a merge activity type to a normal activity type in the Manage Task screen, the assignee will no longer be removed unexpectedly. [36448] 2. Resolved discrepancies in total number of tasks displayed in a WorkFLOW Standard view and Report view that have the same filter criteria. [37778] 3. Increasing the font size of a task in WorkFLOW view no longer causes the record to be partially visible. [43059] 4. When running the duplicate patient report, the user will be able to delete and refile duplicate patients that are attached to the same WorkFLOW task. [42618] 5. The annotations button is enabled when viewing a document that is attached to a WorkFLOW in the Other Attachments Tab. [41186] 6. Deleting an ERNs from the Import ERN tab in the Manage ERN File Imports screen that are attached to a WorkFLOW task will remove the ERNs claims information from the task. [43179] 7. When grouping columns in a WorkFLOW view, the grouping order will no longer be lost when the view is refreshed. [43283] 8. After grouping columns in a WorkFLOW view, activity and assignee values will no longer be lost for the first record in the view. [43592] 9. If a WorkFLOW activity has a long description, viewing the description in the More Information dropdown of the Manage Task screen will no longer be cut off. If a document in the Deposits and EOMB cabinet is linked to a Patient s file and that patient has another document that is attached to a WorkFLOW task, clicking on the WorkFLOW s document link will display the correct image.
