Especilly lrger prts cn be considerbly esier fitted if they re heted prior to mounting (rolling berings up to mximum of 120 C). Induction heting is superior to trditionl methods such s heting furnces, heting pltes or oil bths. The induction heting methods re fst nd clen. They re, therefore, prticulrly suitble for btch mounting. The devices cn be used for heting complete berings, rings of cylindricl roller berings or needle roller berings, s well s other rottionlly symmetric steel prts such s lbyrinth rings, roll couplings, tyres, etc. FAG offers six sizes of induction heting devices which cover wide rnge of pplictions. Bsic principle Bsiclly, the heting device consists of live coil with n iron core (primry coil) which induces in short-circuited secondry circuit (rolling bering or other steel prt) high current t low voltge. The prt to be mounted is heted quickly. Non-metllic components nd the device itself re not heted. Every induction heting device genertes strong mgnetic field. Such mgnetic field cn hve negtive effect on pcemkers nd wtches, disks, credit crds nd other dt crriers s well s electronic circuits in instruments. The sfety distnce is two meters. The devices must not be used in dmp environment or in hzrdous loctions. Every device comes with detiled operting instructions nd sfety gloves. Induction heting devices AWG.MINI Induction heting device AWG.MINI The FAG induction heting device AWG.MINI is suitble for berings with bore dimeters of 20 mm (with ccessories 10 mm) nd more, nd weighing up to 40 kg. Seled, gresed berings nd other rottionlly symmetric steel prts cn lso be heted. The heting device comes with support ledges nd mgnetic temperture sensor in sturdy, scrtch-resistnt cse which is esy to hndle. It is prticulrly suitble for mobile fitting missions. The two lterl supports crry the support ledge with the prt to be heted. The cse contins four different support ledges for vrious workpiece sizes. The contct res of the support ledges nd supports re ground so tht energy losses re kept low. The heting device cn be connected to ny norml, 16-A two-pin sfety socket. The clerly structured control pnel with cler-cut symbols for the different operting modes cn even be operted wering work gloves. The foil keybord is oil-resistnt, dust-proof nd wter-proof. All operting modes nd functions cn be controlled by mens of four keys. The device offers temperture hold nd time control modes. In the temperture hold mode the het-up temperture is djusted between 50 nd 240 C. The device holds the workpiece t the preselected temperture, which is monitored by the ttched mgnetic temperture sensor. When the selected temperture is reched the device emits buzzing sound nd the disply flshes. When the Stop key is pressed the prt is utomticlly demgnetized. In the time control mode the desired het-up time (up to 100 minutes) is set. After the selected period the bering is utomticlly demgnetized. A prolonged buzzing sound indictes the end of the process.
