CA ACF2 15.0 6 CA RS 1501 - PTF RO74801 15.0 RO74801 RO74801 M.C.S. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO74801) CICS: BAD ACFAE723 ABEND ANALYSIS ON BRANCH TO LOC ZERO PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CA ACF2 for z/os CICS option includes a module which attempts to determine whether an abend trapped by the CA Common Services CTS ESTAE occurred in an ACF2/CICS module, and if so, to determine the offset within that module where the program check occurred and return that information in a WTO. If an operation exception (S0C1 abend) occurs as the result of a branch to location 0, the analysis module may incorrectly issue a message stating that the abend occurred at offset 2 within module 'STUB 4', a place-holder entry in the module table. Additional analysis is needed to prevent the spurious identification and to identify situations where a S0C1 at location 2 resulted in a branch-and-link from an ACF2/CICS module. SYMPTOMS: If this situation arises, the following message will appear on the system console: ACFAE723 ACF2/CICS Abend in module STUB 4 at offset 0002 IMPACT: The misleading message may impede your ability to determine whether or not the problem is the result of a known bug for which a solution already exists. This may force you to send a dump to CA for processing when a proper analysis might have pointed to an existing fix. CIRCUMVENTION: None. CA ACF2 15.0 8 CA RS 1501 - PTF RO75944 15.0 RO75944 RO75944 M.C.S. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO75944) CICS: REGION HANG/LOOP/AICA ABEND ON FOR_USERID XSRC CALLS PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CICS Transaction Server for z/os (CTS) has recently started exploiting the 'FOR(userid)' clause on DFHXSRC resource validation calls. The DFHXSRC parameter list had been updated at CTS 3.2 to support the syntax, but was not used until recently under CTS 4.2. If the 'FOR(userid)' data is present, ACF2 CICS validates resource access against the ID supplied in the FOR clause instead of against the current task's LOGONID as is normally done. When processing these calls, a loop may occur on CICS Resource Check (XSRC) calls that specify FOR(userid) that is the same as the current TRANSACTION_USER but in lower case. If the current task is not terminal related, and the FOR(userid) ACEE is the same as that of the TRANSACTION_USER, and the resource being validated is not found in the user's session cache buffer from a prior validation, a loop of ACFAERUL issuing ACF2 SVC-A ACGRSRC Resource Validation calls will result. This has been reported for CICS Transaction code validation in a WEB Services environment. SYMPTOMS: Possible: Region hang AICA trasaction abends Excessive SMF data if the Resource Check logs the access. IMPACT: Possible region outage. CA ACF2 15.0 10 CA RS 1501 - PTF RO77154 15.0 RO77154 RO77154 M.C.S. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO77154) CIA: CREATE CIA REPOSITORY FOR RACF PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This solution introduces CA Chorus 4.0 related enhancement updates that allow the Compliance Information Analysis (CIA) repository to support a load of IBM RACF security related information. By leveraging the CA Chorus 4.0 security discipline product, you can now query compliance security information across up to all three mainframe security product databases loaded into a CIA relational data repository. The compliance information replicated in the repository is account (user) information and policy (rules or permissions) type information. Included with this solution is a new unload utility job called CIAUNLDR. The CIAUNLDR job executes the unload utility, which reads the security information from the output file of the IBM RACF IRRDBUOO utility and creates an unload data set. The unload data set contains load data in DB2 format which is used to populate the CIA repository. All CIA supported repositories (both IBM DB2 and CA Datacom) use the same unload process. The process for loading the security data into the CIA repository differs slightly, depending on whether you are using IBM DB2 or CA Datacom for the CIA repository. This solution also enables versioning for the database; e.g. you can build a CA Chorus 3.0 or a 4.0 database and CIA Real Time will function with either version. For more information regarding this enhancement, please review the following CA Chorus 4.0 guide: CA Chorus 4.0 Compliance Information Analysis Guide SYMPTOMS: Not applicable. This is an enhancement request. IMPACT: Customers will now be able to load and query IBM RACF information into a CIA backend repository. The information can be leveraged via Chorus r4. CIRCUMVENTION: Not Applicable. This is an enhancement request. Star Problem(s): ACF2MS 9509 Copyright (C) 2014 CA. All rights reserved.
