AAK CALIBRATION AND REFURBISH SERVICE All markers on AAK tool are replaced and tool is re-characterized. A new AAK tool definition file is created. ACCURACY ASSESSMENT KIT SERVICE An alternative option to purchasing an AAK.Send your Position Sensor to your regional office for an AAK assessment. 6

7 SERVICE EXTENDED WARRANTY OPTION - PASSIVE SYSTEM Must be purchased 6 months prior to warranty expiration. Maximum 2 year term. Terms and Conditions apply. POSITION SENSOR CALIBRATION SERVICE Position Sensors will be calibrated in accordance with calibration procedures developed by NDI and using measurement equipment that has been verified against standards traceable to national or international standards as allowed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Please read below for additional information on this service. POSITION SENSOR CALIBRATION SERVICE A certificate of calibration can be provided for US$ with each calibrated Polaris Position Sensor. The Position Sensor is an integral part of the Polaris Optical Tracking System. Like all measurement and testing instruments, standard industry practice dictates that the Position Sensor be periodically calibrated to ensure it is operating within tolerances acceptable to the user and/or the user's customers. The calibration interval must be established by the user and should be developed on the basis of stability, purpose, and degree of usage. If at any time a concern should arise that the Position Sensor is not measuring accurately, the user should: calibrate the Position Sensor immediately; analyze the calibration interval and adjust if necessary; and take all other corrective measures deemed necessary by the user in the circumstances. The Polaris Position Sensor is a highly specialized instrument developed exclusively by NDI. To ensure that calibrations are conducted in accordance with procedures established specifically for the Polaris, it is recommended that the Position Sensor be returned to the NDI facility for calibration procedures. The calibration procedure performed by NDI will verify that, at the time of calibration, the Polaris Position Sensor meets or exceeds factory accuracy specifications. NDI cannot warrant that the Position Sensor will continue to operate to these specifications as shipping, handling, operating conditions, or use may affect actual observed performance. No warranty on calibration services is given. All warranties are expressly disclaimed whether such warranties are either expressed or implied including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. 7
