5 Study Objectives 1. Identify potential relocation options for the three existing stations and location options for a potential new Rio Hondo station; and related benefits and challenges 2. 6 Initial Evaluation Potential station locations were identified and screened down to one potential location for further analysis The initial analysis evaluated the station options on a qualitative level using 10 evaluation criteria The evaluation criteria are weighted and were rated as: High (most favorable) Medium Low Gateway Cities Service Council Meeting May 11,

9 Montebello/Commerce Why Study the Relocation of the Station? The Citadel and the Commerce Resort are expanding, and are expected to draw 40% more visitors each year. This increase cannot be accommodated by private automobile travel alone, hence the need to study opportunities for a multi-modal hub near these developments.
