WG 42 appoints Mr Rich Hilliard (IEEE) as acting project editor of ISO/IEC (DIS 25961) pending SC 7 formal appointment in St Petersburg in May WG 42 appoints Dr. Ovidiu Noran as the liaison to ISO TC 184/SC 5/WG WG 42 appoints Mr Anders Ohlsson (SWE) as secretary to WG WG 42 appoints Dr. Peter Bernus (AUS) as responsible for establishing and maintaining the WG 42 reference library. Accomplishments (results) 6. Formal observations on comments received in the Fast track ballot on ISO/IEC DIS Provisions for future disposition of comments received in the Fast track ballot on ISO/IEC DIS (WG 42 comments on NB and liaisons comments received). 8. 4 9. Formed three Birds of a Feather -groups (BOF-groups) with identified volunteers to chair each group. The groups are to provide input prior to the St Petersburg meeting. Target date for submission of input to WG 42 is 1 April BOF on Life Cycle Chair: Ken Crowder (INCOSE) Should revision make any reference to life cycle, if so, how? Is it possible to clarify usage of architecture in and 12207? 2. BOF on Architecture Frameworks Chair: Peter Bernus (AUS) Alignment (or lack thereof) of concepts and definitions found in: ISO/IEC (DIS 25961) ISO family of standards RM-ODP-family of standards *AFs (ARIS, DoDAF, MoDAF, ToGAF, ) 3. BOF on Architecture Evaluation/Assessment Chair: Dave Emery (USA) What is ripe for standardization? Where should it be standardized (e.g., Does any of it belong in DIS 25961?) 10. Discussions on the terms of reference for WG Discussions on use of the series. 12. Initial consensus building around key concepts related to architecture. Work program (action items) 13. Based on input form ANSI make recommended changes to the NWIP N3529, instruct the SC 7 secretariat to republish the updated version and encourage ANSI to change the NWIP voting as indicated in the NWIP ballot response. 14. Request ISO secretariat to change the number of ISO/IEC DIS to ISO/IEC upon publication. 15. Forward the prepared secretariat observations on the fast track ballot comments against ISO/IEC DIS to SC 7 for transmission to ISO secretariat. 16. Review of the Architecture study group report (SC7N3391) and other related documents that lead to the formation of WG 42 as additional input to the coordinated revision of ISO/IEC (DIS 25961)/IEEE Coordinate the plan for future standards development between ISO/IEC and IEEE. 19. Contact and invite the Open Group to liaise with SC 7. Management / Administration 20. WG 42 plans to meet during the SC 7 Annual Plenary Meeting in St Petersburg in May 2007 and humbly request an architecturally inspiring meeting room. 21. Representatives of the NBs of Japan and India have announced plans to contribute experts for participation in WG 42. Appreciations 22. WG 42 extends its appreciation to the Korean National Body for hosting the meeting and for their dedicated support to WG N3647 W42N0018_MINUTESOFMEETINGS_SEOUL_1.0.DOC Page 4 of 4
