1 Page 1 of 6 MET/CAL Read Me This read me file includes a list of modifications to MET/TRACK and MET/CAL relative to versions and respectively. MET/CAL is the third updated of MET/CAL that directly interacts with MET/TEAM, the new browser based asset manager. Features are provided to use MET/TEAM or MET/TRACK as the asset manager. Refer to the new Storage parameter of the metcal.ini file for details on switching asset managers. This behavior now matches the package build operation. Test run will continue to use the workstation configuration. Review the help topic "Config.dat in Projects" for additional details. The LIB FSC now supports System.Object parameters in COM collection objects with dynamic index types. Updated the Fluke 5500A 90 day and 1 year accuracy files to fix bugs and match the current specification documents: - Product Specifications for 5500A, Rev D, 07/12/ Product Specifications for 5500A-SC300, Rev D, 06/22/ Product Specifications for 5500A-SC600, Rev F, 04/25/ Instruction Sheet Model 5500A/COIL, PN , August 1995, Rev.8, 1/ A-4207T AC Divider Instruction Sheet, PN , February 1992 The 5502E FSC TC Measurement mode now supports the Monitor action. This is the same as a 5520 FSC with MOD3 = "TM", and MOD4 = "S" (UUT Setup). The 5502A FSC TC Measurement mode now supports the Monitor action. This is the same as a 5520 FSC with MOD3 = "TM", and MOD4 = "S" (UUT Setup). Procedure project properties have been expanded and reorganized. There are now many more properties and categories of properties to better define and organize the procedure package. "Multi" is now supported as a package output type. This will allow the build to output the MCZ, PXE, a ZIP of the project, and a manifest describing the items in this build. The.mcz package format is now a supported output type of the MET/CAL Editor. This file format is currently used by MET/CAL Gold procedures.

2 Page 2 of ADD The MET/CAL Run Time now displays a message at the beginning of procedure execution to indicate the load status of procedures. In cases of large procedures, the load time can be longer than expected giving the impression that the nothing is happening. The message now provides the status ADD Procedures written using the P700 FSCs execute without modification with a 7526A configured and connected ADD Procedures written using the 525/M525 FSCs execute without modification with a 7526A configured and connected ADD Fluke 700 Series and 525A-Pxx Series pressure modules can now be configured on the 7526A LEMO pressure port ADD The full version number is now displayed in the About dialog. The MET/CAL version has 4 fields: Major, Minor, Rev and Build for example ADD New message "Can't find procedure..." is added if the specified procedure cannot be located when launching the MET/CAL Run Time from MET/TEAM. This only applies to compiled procedures. PXEs are automatically downloaded prior to execution ADD Changed the behavior of the TUR reporting for MEMC and MEMCX statements when compiling a procedure. The check was removed to minimize possible errors created by incorrect definitions. The details of the COM object parameters and argument data types are now dynamically determined by default Change MET/CAL will now write the PXE file to the "Data Sheet" field when creating a Procedure record in MET/TEAM. Additionally, MET/CAL will not overwrite the procedure used when launched from MET/TEAM Fixed an issue displaying Spanish menus. Selecting the Spanish language option will now allow MET/CAL to display Spanish menu translations PXE's launched from MET/TEAM that aborted early could leave the

3 Page 3 of MET/CAL Run Time menu in a disabled state. This problem is now resolved. Resolved Unicode character display issues in the Stimulus, Head and other related windows. Fixed an issue with running a PXE from MET/TEAM when the client is on a separate machine than the server. This issue would cause the PXE to be downloaded to the server instead of the client machine. This has been fixed, and the PXE will properly be saved to the client PC before execution in MET/CAL. Fixed an issue where MET/CAL would sometimes crash when using a MET/TEAM instance that contains more than 25 Unit objects. The error prevented MET/CAL data from being properly written to MET/TEAM. On the Procedure Selector, pressing CTRL-V on the keyboard may inadvertently trigger the Validate Procedures on Load check box and reload prompt. Now CTRL+V will paste text as this is the default Windows behavior. Fixed an issue where images were displayed in a fixed size when using the PIC FSC. The window that displays images now uses the image size to determine the window size. Resolved Unicode character problems in the MATH FSC PSCALE. The micro units symbol would not work properly. This has been resolved and both non-working days as well as non-working dates are taken into account when determining the calibration due dates Resolved a security issue when attempting to debug procedure using LIB FSC , 6100B, and 6105A FSCs no longer attempt compile time validation of a parameter value that is a dimensioned number from a list, if the value comes from a register or named variable. Example: 6105A +L1VAC = [M36] V; Freq = [M4] Hz; L1VRange = [M37] V will compile without error. This would cause the value coming from the RHT to not pass validation in the prompts Support French Special Characters in Revision Output The ESA/PSA run time driver now handles *IDN? response when the individual fields are padded with leading and/or trailing whitespace. Basically, leading and trailing whitespace is removed before the individual fields: <manufacturer>,<model>,<serial number>,<firmware revision> are validated Launching the MET/CAL Editor from the Run Time no longer requires the user to enter login credentials In 8.0, when a user did not have correct permissions to do something in MET/CAL Run Time, an error was not displayed. The error message is

MET/TRACK Key Issue Type Release Note Assign Asset to Customer (F12) may fail with a SQL error if customized title contains a period (.). Fixed an issue where importing cal records where the cal failed (C2323 <> Y), using imp2 or Data importation in MET/TRACK, the due date may default to today's date rather than the cal date. Running a customer-only import may result in an error. Fixed an issue where selecting SKIP to ignore a column in the data file may not work, when setting up import definitions. Fluke Calibration 2012
