6 BUG ID SUMMARY COMMENTS Recording on the microsd card is not supported from Record from the Latitude. web UI. The camera may stop recording for a couple of minutes after changing the streaming settings from merged to separate on Latitude when it s set to Multicast Live stream on Control Center stops after changing the audio encoding when the camera is set to Multicast. On a joint stream configuration, changing the video quality (encoding priority) affects Stream Live streaming in Control Center stops for a few minutes after being changed to Multicast In some cases, the camera generates tampering alerts when the Tampering sensitivity setting is set to Low on the Tampering screen and the lights are turned off or on Run IE as Administrator in order to save a manual recording clip or snapshot. The quality (encoding priority) changes to 5 (the default is 7) after the camera is attached to Meridian. Adaptive streaming (D1>720p>1080p) is supported on 1080p merged configuration and the 1080p & 720p combination when the Use recorded stream in Adaptive streaming checkbox is checked. Possible resolutions combinations in Latitude (any order) are 1080p & 720p, 1080p & D1, 720p & 720p, and 720p & D1. Set the privacy zone from the Streaming > Privacy Zone screen in the web UI. 7 The following table includes known issues in the GA release: BUG ID SUMMARY COMMENTS The following frame rates are currently supported: NTSC: 30, 15, 10, 7.5, 6, 5, 3, 2, and 1 PAL: 25, 12.5, 5, and , The camera does not auto focus after clicking the Restore Position Start button on the System > Lens Control screen of the web UI. It s recommended to use AAC audio encoding. The microphone is temporarily inaccessible for a few minutes after the camera is attached to Latitude. WDR is displayed on Latitude as Off when attaching a default state camera, although it is actually turned on. Click the One-Push AF Start button after the restore operation. February 19, 2016 Page 6

8 The firmware should be updated by using the camera s web interface or by using the DVTEL Network Assistant (DNA) tool. Ariel Full HD IP cameras are supported by DNA firmware version and above. Refer to Appendix A for details how to use DNA to discover Ariel Full HD IP cameras. To upgrade the camera through the web interface Select the System tab on the navigation bar. Select the Basic Configuration > Firmware tab on the sidebar. Click Browse to locate the upgrade file: dvtel_x tar. Click Upgrade. After the upgrade process is completed, select the System> Basic Operations tab on the sidebar. Click Full Factory Defaults. Note: IP settings will be lost. Re-discover the camera using DNA and reset its IP address. To upgrade the camera firmware using DNA Upon discovery of the Ariel Full HD IP unit(s), select the relevant unit(s) from the Discovery list. Click the Firmware icon on the navigation bar. Select the camera firmware file (dvtel_x tar) from the relevant fields on DNA. Click Upgrade. Once the upgrade is complete, select the camera and right-click to select Admin. Select Full Factory Defaults. Note: IP settings will be lost. Re-discover the camera using DNA and reset its IP address. For further details, refer to the DNA 2.1 User Manual. 11 To operate DNA, copy the DNA.exe file to a folder on a PC and then double-click it. DNA is required to discover the cameras, because the Ariel Full HD IP camera initializes by default with a DHCP configuration. If a DHCP server is not available in your network, the camera will initialize with the default static IP If you have more than a single camera, connect them one at a time and change their IP addresses to avoid potential network conflicts. Refer to the DNA 2.1 User Manual for additional information on working with edge devices. Note: DNA does not support Ariel Full HD IP cameras. February 19, 2016 Page 10
