3 Salient CompleteView SOFTWARE LICENSE: 1. GRANT OF LICENSE: Salient grants to you the right to use one (1) copy of the Salient CompleteView Server SOFTWARE on one (1) computer. Salient grants to you the right to use one (1) copy of the Salient CompleteView Client SOFTWARE on any numbers of computers, provided that the Salient CompleteView Client is solely used to connect to a Salient CompleteView Server. The SOFTWARE is in "use" on a computer when it is loaded into temporary memory (i.e. RAM) or installed into permanent memory (e.g. hard disk, CD-ROM or other storage device) of that computer. 2. COPYRIGHT: The SOFTWARE is owned by Salient and/or its licensor(s), if any, and is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions. Therefore, you must treat the SOFTWARE like any other copyrighted material (e.g. a book or a musical recording) except that you may either (a) make a copy of the SOFTWARE solely for backup or archival purposes or (b) transfer the SOFTWARE to a single hard disk provided you keep the original solely for backup purposes. 3. OTHER RESTRICTIONS: You may not rent, lease or sublicense the SOFTWARE but you may transfer SOFTWARE and accompanying written materials on a permanent basis provided that you retain no copies and the recipient agrees to the terms of this agreement. About This Manual Scope This manual provides information relating to the installation and functionality of DVR Viewer, which integrates Keyscan Inc. s Aurora Access Control System and Salient Systems Corporation s CompleteView Video Management System. Audience The Keyscan Aurora Integration manual is intended for use by IT personnel integrating a Keyscan Aurora Access Control System with a CompleteView Video Management System in order to provide alarm-related video information.

5 2. Overview DVR Viewer integrates a CompleteView Video Management System with Keyscan Aurora access control software in order to provide video data coincident with alarms generated by Aurora. When Aurora generates an alarm associated with a video stream on a CompleteView server, DVRViewer.exe is automatically launched. Aurora passes DVR Viewer parameters including the IP address or hostname of the CompleteView server, the Camera ID, the mode of operation (Live or Playback), and the username and password for the CompleteView server. After receiving the parameters passed to it by DVR Viewer, the CompleteView server fulfills the request to DVR Viewer, which displays the appropriate video stream in a video client.

Requirements Software prerequisites: CompleteView Server v4.5 or later Keyscan Aurora Server or later Client operating system minimum requirements: Microsoft Windows (32 Bit) Server 2008 SP2/7/8.x Microsoft Windows (64 Bit) Windows 7/8.x Client hardware minimum requirements: Windows: Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz or faster 2 Gigabytes (GB) of system memory

7 4. Initial Setup Install DVR Viewer DVR Viewer should be installed on a Keyscan Aurora access control server. Doubleclick CV-Keyscan.exe, and click [Next] to proceed with the standard Windows installation. Click [Next] Install DVR Viewer Figure 4-1, Install DVR Viewer Follow the prompts to complete the installation. DVRViewer is a 32 bit application, and installs in the C:\Program Files (x86)\completeview\keyscan directory. DVRViewer is compatible with either 32 or 64 bit CompleteView Servers.

8 5. Operation DVR Viewer runs automatically, and is intended to be completely transparent to the user. Upon generating an alarm associated with a video stream, Aurora automatically launches DVRViewer.exe and passes the requisite parameters to send to the CompleteView Server. Either live or recorded video data can be retrieved, depending on the type of alarm. DVR Viewer can also be accessed via command line, with or without entering parameters. If DVR Viewer is launched from the command line and no parameters are passed, the help dialog will be displayed. Shows or sets preset positions on enabled cameras When a PTZ camera is controlled through a Pelco ACSII compatible matrix switch, this sets the monitor associated with the camera. This function does not apply to fixed cameras configured as digital PTZ cameras. Controls the speed at which the camera pans. Standard VCR controls (enabled in Playback Mode only).
