Requirements Installation Uninstalling the Pelco DVRViewer Compatibility The DVR integration allows the local workstation to interact with the following Pelco DVR / NVR units. For specific device models, see the compatibility table below. DVR integration licenses must be purchased separately for each workstation. Sarix, Sarix Enhanced and Sarix Professional Network Cameras Endura NSM5200 NVR Endura SM5200 System Manager Digital Sentry DSSRV Digital Sentry DSNVS Requirements Before you install the Pelco Viewer integration, you need the following: Access It! Universal version 3.x or 4.x and the required DVR license One of the supported Microsoft.NET Framework versions: Microsoft.NET Framework 4.5 Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5 Microsoft DirectX 9.0c. NOTE: This version of DirectX is required even if you have a later version on your computer. You can download DirectX 9c from the Microsoft Download Center. Installation Perform the following steps to install the Pelco DVRViewer. 1. If the Access It! Universal services are running on this machine, they must be stopped prior to continuing. 2. Run the DVR Integration installer RS2-Setup-8959.exe. 3. In the Welcome to the Pelco DVRViewer Setup Wizard window, click Next to continue. 4 Pelco / RS2 Integration Guide PI56210

5 Getting Started 4. In the Select Destination Location window, click Browse to find the following folder on your system: For 32-bit systems: C:\Program Files\RS2Technologies\Access It! Universal\DVRViewer For 64-bit systems: C:\Program Files (x86)\rs2 Technologies\Access It! Universal\DVRViewer NOTE: You may need to add "DVRViewer" to the path if the directory does not already exist. 5. In the Ready To Install window, confirm the Destination location and click Install. 6 Getting Started 6. In the Completing the Pelco DVRViewer Setup Wizard, click Finish. The DVRViewer installation process is now complete. 7. Follow instructions in the Access It! Universal DVR Configuration documents to complete setup the DVRViewer in the RS2 Access It! VMS software. Uninstalling the Pelco DVRViewer Perform the following steps to uninstall the Pelco DVRViewer. 1. From the Add or Remove Programs menu in Windows, select Pelco DVRViewer 1.0 and then click Remove. 2. Click Yes when prompted Are you sure you want to remove Pelco DVRViewer 1.0 from your computer?. 8 Software Setup Software Setup What's in This Chapter? Workstation Adding the DVR Associating a DVR with Devices Workstation 1. Go to the Workstation section by clicking the Workstation toolbar button within the System group on the left-hand toolbar. Edit the Workstation that will be using the DVR integration. 2. Under the Integration tab, select the Enable DVR Integration for this workstation option to enable DVR integration for the local workstation. Adding the DVR 1. Go to the hardware tree by clicking the hardware toolbar button within the data files group on the toolbar. 2. Click the DVR's item in the hardware tree. 3. Click the New button on the toolbar or select System > File > New DVR from the menu. 4. Select the RS2 Universal DVR Viewer followed by clicking the OK button. 8 Pelco / RS2 Integration Guide PI56210

9 Software Setup 5. Type a name into the DVR Name field. 6. Click the button at the end of the viewer.exe Location field. 7. Navigate to the DVR Viewer file followed by clicking the Open button. 8. Enter the IP Address of the DVR NOTE: If port is needed, format the IP Address as XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:PORT 9. Enter a valid name into the User Name field. 10. Enter a valid password for the above name into the Password field. 11. Select appropriate number of cameras. 12. Click the Save button to save and exit the DVR properties. Associating a DVR with Devices Devices must be associated with DVR cameras to facilitate the viewing of cameras from map devices. 1. Go to the hardware tree by clicking the Hardware toolbar button within the Data Files group on the toolbar. 2. Expand the DVR that contains the camera to be associated by clicking the + next to the DVR. All of the DVR cameras associated with the selected DVR are now displayed in the right window pane of the Access It! Desktop. 3. Select the camera to be associated and click the Edit button on the toolbar. 4. Select the appropriate readers and inputs to be associated with the DVR camera. Associating Devices Viewing Cameras This overview outlines the different manners in which devices can be associated and video can be viewed from the Universal software. If you need installation instructions for the integration consult the PDF that is included with the integration download available in the dealer area of rs2tech.com Associating Devices Cameras can be associated to inputs and readers in the Universal software. This can be done by editing the camera and associating it to the reader\input or by editing the reader\input and associating it with camera. Editing the Camera 1. Navigate to the hardware tree 2. Expand DVRs 3. Select the name of your DVR system 4. Right-click the camera you want to associate 5. Select Edit 6. Select the reader\input you wish to associate 7. Click Save Editing the Reader 1. Select the camera you want to integrate from the Associated Camera menu 7. Click Save 8. The workstation needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect Editing the Input 1. Navigate to the hardware tree 2. Select Installed Inputs 3. Right click the input you want to associate 4. Select Edit 5. Select the Integration tab 6. The workstation needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect Viewing Cameras Cameras can be viewed by navigating to the camera in the hardware tree, selecting an event from an associating device in the event screen, and by configuring the workstation to automatically open video on an alarm event for an associated device. Hardware Tree 1. Navigate to the hardware tree 2. Expand DVRs 3. Select the name of your DVR system 4. Select the camera you want to view 5. Click View Camera above the hardware tree for a live view Select Playback Segment from the menu to view a playback segment Right-click the camera, navigate to Commands, and then select either View Camera or Playback Segment 6. The workstation needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect Events 1. When an event occurs on a device associated with a camera, a camera icon will appear next to the event. 12 Pelco / RS2 Integration Guide PI56210

Click View to show a live view of that associated camera Right-click the event to bring up a menu to select either Playback or View Automatic Connect on Alarm 1. Select the System tab 2. Select Workstations 3. Edit the workstation to enable the Auto connect on alarm feature 4. Select the Integration tab 5. Select the Auto connect on alarm checkbox for the site(s) 6. Click Save 7.
