Sharing of care models / processes / objectives / pathways Adoption of SOA approach and health standards Healthcare information systems have to go beyond : monolithic solutions: huge, expensive, hard to maintain and to evolve Point to point integrations: bottleneck of all the transactions, expensive extensions General purpose integration middleware: more effective and scalable but unable to support actual and effective care models and to provide a integrated view of the citizen health/social comprehensive wellbeing information Dedalus approach/vision and actual solution: X1.V1 Interoperability framework for application cooperation among primary care, secondary care, homecare and social assisted living Completely based on ehealth standards (IHE, HL7 ) SOCIAL ASSISTED SYSTEMS? Supporting workflow management with multi-disciplinary and multiprofessional approach

5 Shaping the future: evolution of X1.V1 for a better ehealth Interoperability standard services ( ) Implementation on top of X1.V1 of HSSP (Healthcare Service Specification Project) standard service interfaces (HL7 OMG). HSSP services allow to support processes interoperability at different levels: local, regional, national and international. Continuity of care ( Integrated ehealth environment to support continuity of care, comprehensive management of the clinical risk and patient empowerment Enhancing X1.V1 with innovative workflow management tools and standard, the ASSO environments supports care pathways and cooperation among different clinical settings, care intensity, disciplines and health professionals Pilots for Heart failure, Gynecologic oncology and neuro rehabilitation. Integrating ehealth with social needs (ADAPT Project with the endorsement of Regione Veneto) An integrated and comprehensive vision of the citizen wellbeing Wellbeing starts from a comprehensive management of all health and social pathways of citizens which are more and more demanding not only health assistance but also for advanced added-value services, especially socially underprivileged categories Keywords of this new trend: grand accessibility, home care, increased inclusion, assisted living
