1 CHATCHAT Android App ICC User Guide

2 The newly developed Android app for all our users proudly brought to you by Shinetown Telecom (S) Pte Ltd.

3 New users have to sign up their mobile numbers on our website. Once submitted, our system will sms user with a dafault login password. *Note: Password can be change to user preferred password in the setup page.

4 To begin, download the ChatChat App and launch it which will bring you to the login screen. *Note: -This guide is mainly for our ICC card users. -Users must register their mobile number on our website in order to use this app.

5 Click on account type and select your relevant account. Business: Corporate users, please select this option as your account type Customer: Consumers, select this option as your account type Prepaid: Calling card users, please select this account type

6 For Business and Consumer accounts, please use your account no. as the login id. For Prepaid users, please login using your registered mobile number. Enter your password Check Remember Me for easy future logins. Click Log In

7 Initial Setup..

8 For first time users, you will be prompted to set up your account. *Please note that this app is not meant to be used for emergencies. Click Agree to proceed

9 You will be prompted to enter your PIN. Click OK to continue. *This is required in order to identify your registered mobile number in order to proceed.

10 Enter your card pin number. Click Update Profile

11 You will receive this prompt and just click Register to proceed.

12 Click OK to continue. You will receive an SMS to inform you that the registration is successful.

13 Click on Call method and select your preferred calling method 1) 1526 For direct calling to any oversea numbers. (Mobile airtime charges applies) 2) Callback Good for users with free incoming calls on your mobile plan, so you only need to pay for the IDD charges ) Intl Callback For use while you are overseas and the callback will be connected to your assigned overseas number. *Note: Each call mode will be further elaborated later.

14 To save your setup, click on update profile. Please update after making any changes to avoid losing them.

15 82XXXX You will receive a confirmation, just click OK to proceed.

16 Ready to call??? Click on the call icon from the menu above to start!

17 Types of Call method

18 Did you know????? There is a shortcut method to change your calling mode besides from the profile setup. Simply press and hold the call button and you will be prompted to select from 3 options. Users can use this shortcut to change the calling mode before each call instead of updating through the profile setup page.

19 Did you know????? 3 options of calling: 1) Callback 2) ) International Callback* *You can only use this method when overseas and with the overseas number set in the profile setup.

20 Using 1526 Calling Mode (Contact List)

21 For making calls from contact list using 1526 Mode Click on the Contact icon.

22 For making calls from contact list using 1526 Mode Click on contact

23 For making calls from contact list using 1526 Mode Select the number to call. *Note: Please ensure that the overseas numbers contains the + prefix. If you already pre-saved with 1526, just remain unchange.

24 For making calls from contact list using 1526 Mode You will be prompted and simply click Call to make your calls.

25 Using 1526 Calling Mode (Manual Entry)

26 Manual entry of contact numbers using 1526 Mode *Note: Please remember to add in the + prefix. For numbers without the + prefix, Singapore code (65) will be added by default.

27 Manual entry of contact numbers using 1526 Mode You will be prompted and simply click Call to make your calls.

28 Using CallBack Mode

29 Callback Mode Click and hold the call button to change the calling mode.

30 Callback Mode You will be prompted with 3 selections, select the Callback button for callback mode.

31 Callback Mode Either select the number from contact list or just enter the numbers. Hit the callback button *Note: You will realize after changing the calling mode, the button will indicate which mode you are in.

32 Callback Mode A notification prompt will be displayed. Just tap Ok Your phone will ring after a few seconds go on, answer the call and you can start chatting.

33 Using International CallBack Mode *Note: Only to be use while overseas. Data or wifi is needed for this app to work. *Note: Only for ICC with no connection charges, Eg. ChatChat card and e-tone card

34 International Callback Mode You must first set your overseas mobile number before using this function when overseas. Enter your overseas number and click Update IRS Click the Call icon to start using the International CallBack

35 International Callback Mode Click and hold the call button to change the calling mode.

36 International Callback Mode You will be prompted with 3 selections, select the International Callback button for this mode.

37 International Callback Mode Key in the number or select from your contact list and hit the Intl Callback button.

38 International Callback Mode A notification prompt will be displayed. Just tap Ok Your Overseas number will ring in a few seconds. Just pick up the call and the call will be connected. *Things to Note: There will be an error prompt if the overseas number is not set up. To set up overseas number, refer to the part with instructions to enter overseas number and updating of IRS on page 34.

39 Using SMS

40 SMS Service Click on the SMS icon

41 SMS Service You can either key in the number manually or simply selects from your contact list.

42 SMS Service Enter your message content and click the Send button to send out your smses.

43 International Roaming Services CHATCHAT Travelcard Users Only

44 Travel Card International Roaming Services Select Settings from the top menu. Enter your card pin Click on Update Profile

45 Travel Card International Roaming Services You will receive a prompt to inform you that is pin belongs to a Travel card and to key in your oversea number. Click OK to proceed.

46 Travel Card International Roaming Services Enter your overseas number and click Update IRS.

47 Travel Card International Roaming Services Tap Activate Now to proceed with the On-Demand Roaming request for our system to assign you with a virtual number. *Note: Activation of this service is free for 14 days and S$1.00 is chargeable for every subsequent 14days which will be deducted via the card value.

48 Travel Card International Roaming Services Once the request have been received and processed by our system, you will receive a confirmation SMS.

49 Travel Card International Roaming Services Click on Update IRS

50 Travel Card International Roaming Services You will receive a prompt that your profile has been updated. Click OK to continue.

51 Travel Card International Roaming Services You will see that the Virtual Number assigned to you is reflected here. *Note: You will realize the Virtual Number is the same as the confirmation SMS which you received earlier. **Please ensure that the Virtual Number is reflected before proceeding to the next step of performing call divert.

52 Travel Card International Roaming Services The confirmation sms you received is to inform you on the Virtual Number and the steps to perform a Call Divert before you travel. You can simply follow the instructions to perform a call divert or use the Divert button.

53 Travel Card International Roaming Services Click on the Divert button to divert all your mobile incoming calls to the Virtual Number. *Things to note: Please ensure that the Virtual Number is reflected in the box before clicking on the Divert button. If it is empty, just refresh by clicking Update IRS This call divert needs to be performed before leaving the country. Eg. Before boarding a plane. Do not perform call divert if you are not leaving the country immediately as doing so, you will not be able to receive incoming calls on your Singapore mobile.

54 Travel Card International Roaming Services You will be prompted for a successful call divert.

55 Travel Card International Roaming Services If you need to change your overseas number, just enter the new number. Click Update IRS once done. *Things to note: The overseas number will remain the same as per your last update. If you have a new overseas number, just enter accordingly

56 Travel Card International Roaming Services You will receive a prompt if the oversea number you entered does not exist in our system. Just click Activate to proceed with the update.

57 Travel Card International Roaming Services Once the changes have been received and processed by our system, you will receive a confirmation SMS.

58 Travel Card International Roaming Services *Important Reminder: Once you have updated the Virtual Number mapping to your overseas number, you can click divert to divert your own mobile phone incoming calls to our system. ***Please only do the divert when you are leaving the country and not way before as this can affect your incoming calls if you are still in Singapore and the calls were all diverted to our system. The call divert needs to be performed before leaving the country. Eg. Before boarding a plane.

59 Deactivating of Call divert Press the Undivert button to cancel call divert. *Note: Please remember to cancel the call divert when you are back in Singapore in order for you to continue to receive calls on your SG mobile.

60 Deactivating of Call divert A confirmation screen will be shown that the call divert is done successfully.

61 Travel Card International Roaming Services To deactivate and avoid the $1 charge to your travel card, simply create a SMS using your android s mobile phone native SMS function with the content cancel and send to to cancel the assigned virtual number. *Note: - Unless you don t mind paying the $1 for 14days, you can skip this step and keep the same virtual number for future use. - Please do not cancel this service if you are still using and is currently overseas at the point of usage.

62 Travel Card International Roaming Services If user proceed with the cancellation of the virtual number, a SMS from our system will be sent to user. *Note: If user needs to travel again, just repeat the steps for Travel Card International Roaming Services to retrieve a new virtual number.
