2 and Security. At the end of this course students are prepared to take the CompTIA Network+ certification examination. Given a scenario, configure and apply the appropriate ports and protocols Rules and Comments Please come on time if you are late, please quietly find your seat No food or drink in the lab or the classroom, except closed top drinks (such as water or soda) If you need to leave early, please do so quietly as to not disturb the class If you need to take a phone call, you may do so, but please be courteous and take the call out of the classroom Please attend class as you may miss materials if you are not in class I will do my best to post items on Blackboard, however, you still may miss something in class Any student who misses 2 classes in a row will be dropped by the instructor UNLESS prior arrangements are made OR if there are extenuating circumstances (if you are doing work and miss more than 2 classes, you will not be dropped as your work will constitute attendance) No make-up assignments or exams will be allowed UNLESS prior arrangements are made You may work as groups but MUST turn in assignments INDIVIDUALLY Any cheating or blatantly copied work will result in a 0 if it is your first offense, I may allow you to do redo the assignment for partial credit (50%) It is your responsibility to withdraw from the class please do so before the deadline or a withdrawal may result in a WF or may not be granted by the school Please keep track of your grades I will be grading and posting grades the days following the assignment due date if you are missing grades, please let me know immediately Please ask questions if you need assistance Due to FERPA regulations, grades cannot be discussed over and phone, unless you are notifying me of a missing grade or an incorrectly entered grade Cheating or any act of academic dishonesty is prohibited. Any student caught cheating, the instructor has the right to withdraw the student from the class or result in a failing grade Disruptive Behavior: Any student engaging in disruptive behavior will be advised on the first offense and will be dropped from the course on the second offense. Student Core Competencies

For further information on student core competencies please go to Expected Student Conduct Valencia College is dedicated not only to the advancement of knowledge and learning but is concerned with the development of responsible personal and social conduct. By enrolling at Valencia College, a student assumes the responsibility for becoming familiar with and abiding by the general rules of conduct. The primary responsibility for managing the classroom environment rests with the faculty. Students who engage in any prohibited or unlawful acts that result in the disruption of a class may be directed by the faculty member to leave the class. Disciplinary action could include being withdrawn from the class, disciplinary warning, probation, suspension, expulsion, or other appropriate and authorized actions.
