IT Conclave 2014 IT Conclave 2014, a two days technical event was organized by IICMR, MCA department on 21 st & 22 nd March The main objective of the event was to provide a common platform for the students & IT professionals to interact on various trends in technology like Big Data, Testing, Mobile Computing, work-life culture and various career paths. Lighting of lamp by Mr. Kumar Gaurav The inaugural chair was graced by Mr. Kumar Gaurav (Global Head, Consulting, Zensar), Mr. Rajas Gokhale, Sr.Manager, Analytics & Risk Center of Excellence, Capgemini, Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, Director, IICMR, Dr.Ashwini Kulkarni, Executive Director & Dr.Deepali Sawai, Technical Director. In the welcome address Dr. Deepali Sawai briefed about IT Conclave. L-R: Dr. Abhay Kulkarni, Mr. Kumar Gaurav, Mr. Rajas Gokhale,Dr.Deepali Sawai The program took spectacular start with address by Mr. Rajas Gokhale, Guest of Honor, who addressed various challenges & broad outlook of Big data & carrier in Big-Data. In key note address by Mr. Kumar Gaurav, he guided students on Career Opportunities in mobile computing. It was followed by a session on Power of Oracle Certifications by Mr. Bikram Das from Oracle Corporation. He guided the students on various Oracle certification programmes.

The students found the session to be highly informative and useful. Prof. Preetha Praseedh at JSPM Tathawade Release of institute online research journal I4 The institute released the maiden issue of online research journal I 4, volume VIII issue I on 7 th May Under the guidance of Dr. Deepali Sawai, online format of the journal was prepared by Prof.Arati Mhaisekar & Prof. Deepa Lakshmi. Prof.Renu Mathew & Prof. Arati Mhaisekar discussed the syllabus and timetable for MCA-II & MCA-III respectively. Newly joined faculties were welcomed & introduced to the students. Group Mentoring Activity for MCA II Group mentoring activity was conducted on 2 nd Aug 2014 for MCA-II students, coordinated by Prof.Rupali Bhangale.

Deepali Sawai felicitated & appreciated the students on 5 th Aug She also highlighted how this activity has helped students to overcome stage fear & building team spirit.

Narendra Kulkarni, President at Lifeline Systech Solutions, was invited as Chief Guest. Dr. Deepali Sawai introduced the students to the MCA course.

Students used innovative & creative ideas to address various social issues. Dr.Deepali Sawai felicitated & appreciated the students on 5 th Aug She also highlighted how this activity has helped students to overcome stage fear & building team spirit. Students also shared their experiences. FDP was attended by Dr. Deepali Sawai, Dr. Ashwini Kulkarni, Prof. Kiran Shinde, Prof.Renu Mathew, Prof. Arati Mhaisekar & Prof. Sanjay Mathapati. 2. Prof.Sonal Kakar presented paper on The Unstructured data Sources and Usage at National level Conference on Convergence in International & Computational Technology on 28 th March 2014 at Garden City College, Bangalore. 3. Prof. Kiran Shinde attended conference on Global High on Cloud Summit on 28 th & 29 th May 2014 at Courtyard Marriot, Mumbai arranged by Business Excellence Summits. 4. Prof. Ruby Jain cleared Ph.D. Entrance Examination conducted by University of Pune. 5. Prof.Rupali Bhangale was awarded Oracle Certified Java Professional (OCJP) on 26 th July 6.
