Identifier Caller ID and Line Monitor This page contains the Identifier description, benefits, uses, technical specifications, and price. The Identifier comes in 2, 4, and 8 line models. These units daisy chain (using the IN connector) in any combination, up to any number of phone lines. The OUT connector goes to the PC or an existing Identifier's IN connector. Advantages The Identifier has features found in no other Multi-Line Caller ID device. Our software interface is full featured, well thought out, simple to use, and comes with a better warranty than any competing product. All Identifier boxes daisy chain to accommodate any number of phone lines. No jumper settings, special cables, or line size limitations. We have a simple methodical diagnostic procedure which isolates problems to the computer, the software, the cable, or (almost never) the Identifier. The Identifier can tell you the date, time, length of call, phone number, and line number for all incoming and outgoing calls. It can tell you the number of rings and type of distinctive ring on incoming calls. It also gives you the Caller ID name. It can give you these details real time as they occur or store all this information for the last 512 calls (offline, unlimited with software). This information may be printed to a printer or retrieved by modem. Description The primary function of the Identifier is used to monitor telephone lines and report the Caller ID telephone number and name of the incoming caller and dialed number of outgoing calls. Additionally
the Identifier can report the status and activity of each telephone line. The Identifier events include: Caller ID Name & Number Outgoing Numbers Length of Call (incoming & outgoing) Number of Rings Line Number Distinctive Ring (Ring Master) The Identifier has 3 models, 2, 4, or 8 line capacity with unlimited expansion capabilities. The Identifier has 4 modes of operation: Printer Mode, Real Time Event Mode, Request, and Off Line/Remote. Works with ALL Phone Systems Because the Call Data is picked up off the Telco line where they come in from the telephone company before the phone system, the Identifier works with all phone systems. Sharing Identifier Data on a Local Area Network (LAN) Only one Identifer is required for all workstations. The call data from the Identifier is stored in a shared database record. All workstations on this LAN then have access the call data. This way
only one Identifier is required for use by an unlimited number of workstations. When using our Free WinLog software the caller id data is stored in a shared database record (in dbaseiii format) that can be accessed by many other database programs as well. Benefits Improve customer service Increase sales Spend less time on phone Complete customer orders faster Reduce phone misuse Immediately know who's calling and why Know where your prospects are calling from Instant caller verification Identify priority clients Identify repeat callers Reduce duplicate and redundant information Never get wrong call back numbers Automatically monitor prospect communications Uses Telephone Usage Management and Analysis Customer Service Sales Management Contact Management Phone Time Billing Caller Identification and Verification Confirm Caller Location Customer Record Retrieval PC/Telephone Integration Features Delivers and stores incoming call name and phone number using Caller ID signal Delivers and stores outgoing DTMF Touch Tone signals Reports all telephone line activity Automatic logging of all incoming and outgoing calls Logs date, time, duration, name, and number of all calls Computer Link, Direct to printer, and Stand-Alone Operation 8 Line Capacity, Expandable to monitor any number of
lines Dial Log internal memory holds 512 call records Printer Mode When in Printer Mode the Identifier will output, upon completion of a call, the date & time, duration, telephone number, type (In/Out), number of rings (incoming calls), and line number. The data is transmitted to the printer via an RS-232 serial connection at 4800 baud. Real Time Event Mode When in Event mode the Identifier will report all activity on each of the 8 telephone lines. These activities are: Off-Hook Outgoing Off Hook Incoming Ringing Start Ringing Stop On-Hook Touch Tone Digit Caller Name & Number These activities are transmitted to the computer via an RS-232 serial connection at 4800 baud utilizing an ASCII instruction set. The Identifier may be programmed to enable or disable each of these events. Request Mode All automatic output from the Identifier may be disabled. It can then be queried for the status of a single line or all lines. The returned status includes: Current Line Status (on hook, off hook incoming, off hook outgoing) Caller ID Name & Number (incoming calls) Number of Rings (incoming calls) Dialed Number (outgoing calls) Number of seconds off hook Line Number Off Line/Remote The Identifier has an internal call log which will store up to 512 call records. This call log is updated automatically during all modes of operation. All that is required is the Identifier be powered on. These records may be printed or stored when the
Identifier is put back on line. These call records may be retreived from a remote location by modem. DTMF Touch Tone Signaling The Identifier detects and reports DTMF touch tone signals. Whenever a tone is detected it is decoded, stored, and reported. When stored and reported the Identifier will attempt to format it as area code, exchange, and subscriber number. Caller ID Signaling The Identifier makes use of the Caller ID signals sent from the phone company between the first and second rings of an incoming call. This signal contains information about the incoming call including time, date, name, and number. Technical Specifications 8 Line Capacity per Identifier with Unlimited Expandability Works with Loop Start type telephone lines Compliant with Bellcore TR-TSY /31 Dual Caller ID Decoders Caller ID Capacity: 4 lines per 3 second period, 2 simultaneously Dual DTMF Touch Tone Decoders DTMF Capacity: 2 lines simultaneously, 8 lines per 4 second period DTMF Decoders and Caller ID Decoders work simultaneaouly 512 Call internal memory with date, time, name & number, duration, line number 12 Mhz CPU with 1 Meg. The RJ-11 jacks are also wired to accept RJ-14 style wiring (2 lines on each jack), so all eight lines can be wired using 4 RJ-11/14 cables.
