36 Advanced Communications Course book: Mobile Communications, Second Edition, Jochen Schiller, Addisson Wesley, ISBN OH can be found on: To that comes some articles that you pic up via the network.

37 Advanced Communications Review exercises The course book contains a large number of review exercises. On the course home page, I will list those exercises that are important for the understanding of the material. I urge you to go through these exercises. Several of these exercises will come up on the exam! Ex: 4.6; 18: What are the functions of authentication and encryption in GSM? How is system security maintained?

38 Advanced Communications Project: The goal of this project is to make the student familiar with one development platform for mobile applications, and to deploy a functioning wireless application which interconnects two mobile devices via a server or hub using IP over GPRS. There are several exersises coupled to the project. (See the course program!)
