1 Sc2SSi Data Sheet, V 1.0a,May analog to digital SSi interpolator for absolute position Electric Encoders The Analog to SSI Interpolator - provides (SSi) conversion of the native analog signals to full rotation absolute position and Synchronous Serial interface. The provides: Real time servo feedback Setup and Configuration via (RS-422 & NCP) Online monitoring BIT (build in tests) Electrical Supply voltage 5V ± 5% (3) Interconnection (default) Current consump on Environment - common to all types 250mm shielded cable AWG30 wires ~ 180 ma EMC IEC , IEC Operating temperature range -40 C to +85 C Relative humidity <98 % - non condensing Shock endurance IEC g for 11 ms Vibration endurance IEC g Hz Protection IP 40 The SSi transmits the absolute position data from the Electric Encoder in response to the controller clock pulses. The Electric Encoder and controller are linked by clock and data differential signal lines. The final performance in terms of accuracy and resolution are according to the original characteristics of the Electric Encoder and the interpolator setup. The digital interpolator provides advanced calibration and monitoring options using the NCP (Netzer Communication Protocol) and factory supplied software tools as the SSi explorer.
