13 Control Systems Our Filter Fan Units can be operated as a simple power on / off system at a pre-configured speed or air volume. Equipment layouts, process requirements and work shift models often result in the need for a more sophisticated control of the FFU system to ensure energy efficient and process aligned operation. M+W Products offers a wide range of control systems for AC and EC motor driven FFUs, starting with budget oriented solutions for small scale installations and ending with the high-end control software CRiS xt. Speed controller Control terminal CT3 Control System AC (CSA) Control System DC (CSD) The system includes the complete cabling, speed control for the fan unit systems, the visual alarm indicator as well as the illumination control. The fan units can be compiled in groups from 1 to 10 units (depending on the control unit). The CSA is delivered with a plug-and-play cable-system, allowing a fast and low-cost installation. All components are designed for a 230 V power-supply and a frequency of 50 Hz. Depending on the project size, a Control System AC contains the following components: Supply line with distribution box and dummy-plug (if used without speed controller) Speed-controller with connection cable (5A / 8A / 10A) Motor monitoring via a pressure cell and indicator light Illumination equipment with switch and connection cable The control electronics is plug-and-play integrated into the Fan Unit. The individual speed control of each Fan Unit allows the adjustment of the air-speed to the local requirements. 22 Pedestals (Aluminum / Steel) & Post SK s Pedestal bases are designed and made of either aluminum or steel as well as divided into three product groups of Standard Duty(SD), Heavy Duty(HD) and Ultra Duty(UD) version, depending upon the loading requirements of the project. Each comes complete with matching pedestal Heads and are available in both a mill-finished and E-coated finish. The pedestal bases can be mechanically fastened to the subfloor or concrete foundation, or they can be fixed with an adhesive to secure them in place. The stringers DO NOT in any way determine the spacing requirements between the pedestals as the holes are elongated(slotted) to allow them to conform to the size of the panels. Bracing (Aluminum / Steel) Bracing, which is made of either aluminum or steel materials, is clamped at pedestal to pedestal or pedestal to concrete foundation to prevent latera l movement and any potential dislocation of structure system caused by possible a little tiny bit of vibration at the upper/lower side of structure system. Aluminum Damper Damper s are available for perforated and grated panels to adjust the air-flow through the floor to balance a room around tools and work stations.
