3 1. General Features and Installation Directions MS-TDPro SCADA software is conceived to give a comprehensive real-time image of the controlled system in windows environment with animated and interactive mimic representation of the different objects. 1.1 INSTALLATION Before using TD-Pro32 it is necessary to install it on the PC in order to configure the substation which need to be monitored. Installation must be made using the original Microelettrica Scientifica CD-Rom TD-Pro32 PEDEEE Syria Project, following the instructions herebelow described: Insert the CD-Rom in the PC and let the automatic installation run (Note 1). After the automatic installation, an icon with the name of the substation configured will appear. Double click on this icon and will appear the TD-Pro32 floating tool bar. Manage the tool bar as described in 2 Note 1: If the automatic installation is disabled on the PC, run the Setup.exe from the CD-Rom unit. 1.2 HARDWARE CONFIGURATION Copyright Microener Pag 3 of 26

Date As shown in the above diagram, the system is constituted of the following main components: field RS485 serial lines One 7-pole Double-throw electronic Change-Over switch complete with 7 RS 485/232 converters. 7 sockets for RS 485 local connection to each incoming line. Two (One Main and one Back-up) server PC each fitted with 8 serial ports RS 232 and one Ethernet output port. One Workstation PC connected to the Ethernet LAN One Printer connected to the Ethernet LAN. OPERATION PRINCIPLE The Main Server PC, as well as the Back-up Server PC, allows to operate all the C/B commands, to read the real-time Measurements, the real-time Alarms and the Power trends during the last 24 hours, and to display the substation animated mimic diagram. Under normal conditions, all of the above information is, at any moment, available on both the Main and the Back-up Server PC s. Moreover the Workstation PC collects the real-time data available from the Main and the Back-up Server PC s, and produces the historical files of the Events and of the Alarms and the Trends of the Power integrated in a programmable period of time. Power Trends shall be configurable in Daily or Monthly, or Yearly records. Any of the Protection Relays, as well as any of the C/B control modules, can be individually disconnected from the communication bus and connected, via a RS 485/232 converter, to a laptop for local management. Programming of the Protection Relays can be made: - Locally by the relay front face keyboard. Locally by the laptop. Remotely from the main or the Back-up Servers, by means of the interface program MS-Com (see 4) and Proview. For local management by laptop, any of the 7 serial lines can be disconnected at the incoming into the Automatic Change-Over switch. 2. General Utilization Copyright Microener Pag 4 of 26

5 By Means of a floating tool box, users may switch through Scada main features - RUN: Scada System starts showing main mimic diagram - ALARM: Alarm page is shown - TREND: trend page is shown - EXIT: Terminate the SCADA execution Once RUN button is pressed the main mimic diagram (SUBSTATION OVERVIEW) of the S/S is open. In this page status & position of breakers along with measurements at different levels are displayed. An active bar at page bottom shows the latest alarm giving following information: - Date & Time - Alarm Location - Status of the alarm (still alive-cleared) - Description (type of fault) Note: Blue colour indicates 66kV Feeders and Busbars, Whereas Red colour indicates 20kV Feeders and Busbars. From the S/S Overview page, by clicking on the selected accessible object, it is possible to access the mimic diagram relevant to that object with more detailed information. 2.2.1 ENERGY TARIFFS On each 66kV and 20kV Feeder appears a window showing the 9 different energy tariffs programmed on the measuring instruments (Note 1).

Clicking on the tariff number foreground square it will appear a window showing the measurements and settings of the selected tariff. 2.5 TREND By clicking on the Trend button of the floating tool box (see 2), it will be loaded a graphical page which shows real time and historical data (see picture below).

At the bottom of this page there are five buttons with these functionalities: Pages: allows to modify the trend page changing the trend variable Hist.: allows to show the historical data Print: allows to print the trend page within a selectionable time interval Export: allows to export the historical data in a text format Show Val.: allows to show the actual numerical values of the current trend variables Copyright Microener Pag 19 of 26

20 2.5.1 TREND PAGE MODIFICATION By clicking on the Pages button following window is opened. Select the trending variable to be monitored between the list of available variables. Confirm the choice by clicking OK. A new page with the trend of the selected variable will be presented. Copyright Microener Pag 20 of 26

21 2.5.2 HISTORICAL DATA VISUALIZATION By clicking on the Hist. button following window is opened. Use the scroll arrow at the bottom of the page to move backward and forward the visualizing window. 22 2.5.3 PRINTING OF THE TREND PAGE By clicking on the Print button following window is opened. Set the Time Interval (Date and Time) and the number of pages to be printed. Confirm the choice by clicking OK. Copyright Microener Pag 22 of 26

2.5.4 HISTORICAL DATA EXPORTATION By clicking on the Export button following window is opened. Select the variables to be exported clicking on the corresponding Exp./No Exp.

2.6 ALARM Clicking on the Alarm button of the floating tool box (see 2), it will be loaded page which displays in detail all the active alarms (see figure below).

The alarms can be displayed in three different colours: GREEN Indicates a STATUS (example: C/B OPEN) YELLOW Indicates an ALARM without a trip (example: SF6 LOW PRESSURE) RED Indicates a TRIP or a FAILURE (example: IM30-AB TRIP) The Alarm Page Menù has the following functionalities: Selection: Allows to display only a subgroup of alarms. Clicking on Selection and then on Filter Selection, it will appear a window with the available filters: variable name, priority interval, workstation name, user name, event type, ecc. More than one filter can be set at the same time. Silent: Allows to silence the alarm acustic signalization Aknowledgment: Allows to aknowledge the alarms in order to clean the page History: Allows to display the history of the alarms. Clicking on History and then on Screen History, the system present the current day alarms. Use the <<< and >>> arrows aside the History button to move backward and forward the visualizing window. 25 3. Maintenance In order to change the settings of the protection relays and of the measuring instruments it is necessary to open the Relay Interfacing Program MS-Com (see Doc. N MO-0073-ING) through the TD-Pro32, as described in the following instructions: Connecting: - Open MS-Com by clicking on the Maintenance Button on the mimic diagram - After MSCom runs without any relay connected, select the TCP Connection option in the Tool menù. - A dialog box will appear showing: Communication is set to the serial port. Change passing through another IP Adress?. Answer YES. - A dialog box will appear showing: Select remote COM port. Select wich ever COM port, but 0, if you are using MS-Com through TD-Pro32; (Select 0 if you are using MS-Com stand-alone) - MSCommander (a software for the TCP connection) will be executed. WARNING: If MSCommander has never been executed on the PC you are using, it is necessary to execute it manually: or from the MS-Com Installation Directory, or from the menù Start Programs - MSCom MSCommander. - To get connected to the remote software, write the Network name or the IP Adress of your PC in the Combo menù in the MSCommander status window and then select Connect. If the connection is successful, a connected message will be displayed in the MSCommander status window. If the connection is unsuccessful, a asynchronous socket error message will be visualized in the MSCommander status window. WARNING: While using MS-Com through TD-Pro32, leave unchecked the option Work as server (listen On-Off) Note 1: A Timeout message is visualized if overload message problems or temporary connection lockout would occur. Note 2: In the case of a connection using MS-Com through TD-Pro32, MS-Com will display only those relays which are configured in the TD-Pro32. Copyright Microener Pag 25 of 26
