1 Version 2 Multimedia Podium / Room User Guide Date : F220, F222 F226, F230 System Training It is essential that you arrange for training on any campus multimedia podium system before you use it! TO ARRANGE FOR TRAINING PLEASE CALL THE CTL AT X5347 Know WHAT you are using and HOW to use it! 1

2 Room Set Up Step 1. Unlock Podium and Blue Box System Overview APC Net9RM Surge Protector DVD VCR Extron MLS 406 Switcher. DO NOT ADJUST! USE CONTROLLER ON TOP OF PODIUM FOR ALL CONTROL 2

3 System Power Up Step 1. Use the APC Net9RM to power up all equipment in podium except e the PC. Step 2. Power up Extron MLC 206 Controller. This will also power r on the projector. System Power Up Step 3. Power on the Receiver in the Blue Box 3

Insert video tape into VCR TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES VCR 4

5 STEP 2. Press the VCR button TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES STEP 3. Cue up tape to starting point by using remote & pressing play button. (Must be behind podium pointing remote at VCR). The word Panasonic on remote should be the part you aim at VCR. VCR 5

6 TO PLAY VIDEO TAPES STEP 4: Adjust Volume as needed using the Volume knob TO PLAY DVD STEP 1. Press the DVD button on Extron MLC Controller 6

7 TO PLAY DVD STEP 2. Open DVD Player and insert DVD DVD TO PLAY DVD STEP 3. Use the DVD Remote to navigate around the DVD Menu and play the DVD. (Must be behind podium pointing remote at VCR). The word Panasonic on remote should be pointing towards you. DVD NOTE: Must be in TV mode to see DVD movie in WIN TV window & send video to projector 7

8 TO PLAY DVD STEP 4: Adjust Volume as needed using the Volume knob TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 1. Press the Document Camera button on the Extron MLC 206 Controller 8

TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 2. Un-lock & pull out Document Camera drawer. Doc Camera will be installed in drawer. Set-up lamps and camera per system training.

9 TO USE ELMO DOCUMENT CAMERA STEP 2. Un-lock & pull out Document Camera drawer. Doc Camera will be installed in drawer. Set-up lamps and camera per system training. Power on camera by pressing On button. Main input button should be on (if not press button). Power on lamps by pressing Upper lamp button. TO USE DYNACOM STEP 1. Press the Dynacom button on Extron MLC Controller 9

10 System Power Up Step 2. Unlock the Dynacom Box and power on the Dyncom system TO USE DYNACOM STEP 3. Press the Menu button on the Dynacom panel 10

11 TO USE DYNACOM STEP 4. Choose the live broadcast channel you wish to view by pressing the corresponding button PATHWAY (DYNACOM) MENU SELECT Moraine Valley 2 CNN Community College 3 PBS 4 DISCOVERY CHANNEL 5 WEATHER CHANNEL 6 REQUEST CHANNEL 7 SATELLITE 1 8 PBS DIGITAL SATELLITE 9 SATELLITE 2 0 CAMPUS NEWS TO USE DYNACOM STEP 5. When finished, make sure to power off the Dynacom system. 11
