2 Release details SR369 FW v3.60 Release Notes In the following enhancement descriptions, a revision category letter is placed to the left of the description. Refer to the Appendix at the end of this document for a description of the categories displayed. Multilin 369 Motor Management Relay Firmware version 3.60: F Improved EEPROM integrity detection The Multilin 369 Motor Management Relay firmware version 3.60 has improved the EEPROM writing and integrity detection procedures. It has been identified that in rare occasions the Multilin 369 relay versions 3.20 to 3.50, would incorrectly detect a setting corruption, resulting in the settings to change to factory default values on relay power up. This has been corrected in relay firmware version E, N Enhanced Self-iagnostic Messages The Multilin 369 Motor Management Relay firmware version 3.60 has been enhanced to provide improved selfdiagnostics for both the software and hardware. In applications where transients may be present, in rare occasions the previous firmware revision for the Multilin 369 relay would incorrectly detect a software or hardware error and initiate a software reset. The resulting software reset would generate a Software Reset event and de-energize the output relay contacts. This issue has been resolved in FW v3.60 by improving the relay s transient immunity. In addition, new diagnostic messages (iagnostic Message 1 through iagnostic Message 8) have been added to identify and notify users of events that are associated with software or hardware errors. This provides improved performance and enhanced self-diagnostic capabilities. Improved isplay for Energy Metering The Multilin 369 Motor Management Relay firmware version 3.60 has been improved to display the correct units for energy values when energy values are displayed as part to the scrolling default messages that appear of the relay s LC. In previous firmware revisions, energy metering readings displayed as part of the default messages would display incorrectly. In particular, the Energy metering values would show in MWh as the unit of measure, regardless of the actual unit of measure that was configured. The relay would show the correct units of measure values when looking at the Actual Values\Metering screens. Firmware version 3.60 corrects this issue. 2 GE igital Energy

3 Multilin SR 369 FW v3.60 Release Notes EnerVista 369 Set up Software Version 4.21 E R New Event additions to the Event Recorder: To improve analysis of fault conditions, additional diagnostic messages, iagnostic Message 1 through 8, have been added to the event recorder. etailed descriptions of each diagnostic message (event code # s ) are provided within the Multilin 369 Motor Management Relay Instruction Manual. Improved Printout of "Enabled" features: In previous versions of the Multilin 369 Motor Management Relay Setup Software, when the Include only enabled features" was selected from the print/export options screen, in some instances, settings with OFF values may appear on the print out. This newest release of Enervista 369 setup software, revision 4.21 corrects this issue. Specifically, when the Include only enabled features option is selected, only features / elements which are enabled will get printed along with their dependent settings. For elements which are disabled, all main and dependent settings will be filtered out and will not appear in the print out. To see a complete listing of all Enabled and isables features (main and child settings), users can select the Include All Features from the Print/Export Options screen. Updated Event Log In prior versions of the Multilin 369 Setup Software, when the setup software receives data that falls outside of the defined event numbers, as a cause of an event, the event recorder typically displayed "BN Wye BC elta" and "Even" as the event description. Version 4.21 of the Multilin 369 Setup Software addresses and corrects this issue. In particular, the Multilin 369 setup software will now show these events as Event ata Not Available along with the Cause of event number in the event escription. GE igital Energy 3

4 SR369 FW v3.60 Release Notes Upgrade paths Customers are able to upgrade their version of the Multilin 369 Setup software to the new version 4.21 release for free. This can be done either via the Multilin EnerVista Launchpad application or by direct download from the following GE igital Energy site: If using EnerVista Launchpad, follow these steps: 1. Open EnerVista Launchpad 2. Click IE Setup 3. Click Check Updates. Note: this will check for updates to all of the IE setup software shown. 4. Select the 369 version 4.20 upgrade for download.
