Enervista 489 Setup Software Version 4.02 E Implementation of LaunchPad 5.0 LaunchPad 5.0 has been implemented to support the S489 Generator Management elay. The EnerVista Launchpad software is a powerful toolset used for the complete support and management of Multilin products. Support applications including product software, manuals, and setting files management used to ensure your important files are kept up-to-date and easily accessible. Site Management allows you to properly maintain your asset and devices by providing real-time diagnostic data and reports. LaunchPad 5.0 provides the following key benefits: Provides a simple and intuitive method of configuring all Multilin devices Ensures setup software, manuals & other support documentation is available & is always up to date Supplies all the tools necessary for analyzing faults to get your equipment back up and running Provides Asset and Device management capabilities at the click of a button 2 GE Multilin

3 E Implementation of Quick Action Bar The S489 set-up software version 4.02 has been enhanced to include the Quick Action Bar. The Quick Action Bar provides users with ease-of-use functionality when accessing diagnostic data from the S489 Generator Management elays. The Quick Action Bar provides users the ability to quickly access diagnostic data such as: the Event ecorder, Waveforms, Metering data, View Input/Output Screen and the Service eport with the click of a button. E Windows 7 Operating Environment EnerVista 489 version 4.02 Setup software is compatible to operate in the Windows 7 operating environment. In addition to supporting Windows 7, version 4.02 setup software also supports Windows XP and Windows Please note that Administrator access is required during installation of Setup software on all these Operating Environments. 489 Setting Printout Prior to release 4.02, when using the print preview function the ground CT ratio would show as 100:1 even when set to another value. Software update 4.02 corrects this issue and the correct ground CT value will be displayed when using the print preview function. Product Information using Quick Connect Prior to release 4.02, the product serial number information will not refresh when using the quick connect function and connecting to a new device. This has been corrected in Enervista 489 Setup 4.02 release. Serial Number field in Product Information window is refreshed to correctly show the serial number of the device that is currently connected. Setting Group Navigation Settings group navigation error - On Launching the setup software, the Edit Group information in the Status Bar showed default value even when it is set to a value other than default in the relay. This has been corrected in Enervista 489 Setup 4.02 release. The Status Bar information now correctly reflects the value set in the relay at all times. Trigger Selection The Trigger Selection has been improved to operate correctly when above 999. When the Total Trigger Count is above 999, the Setup software shows an error message when a trigger above 999 is selected for launching / saving. This has been corrected in Enervista 489 Setup 4.02 release. The user can now select any trigger number within the supported range for launching / saving. GE Multilin 3

4 Upgrade paths This upgrade can be done either via EnerVista Launchpad or by direct download from the following site: If using EnerVista Launchpad, follow these steps: 1. Open EnerVista Launchpad 2. Click IED Setup 3. Click Check Updates. Note: this will check for updates to all of the IED setup software shown. 4. Select the 489 version 4.02 upgrade for download.
