Installation Installation Connecting the PayCon Touch Mini The PayCon Touch Mini board has three essential connections: power, network

connection for use with(in) a vending machine Direct current (DC) connection for use with the adaptor 1.

Connect the other end to the power outlet The AC and DC connectors may never be used at the same time!

8 Installation Installation Connecting the PayCon Touch Mini The PayCon Touch Mini board has three essential connections: power, network and the copier connection In the overview on the left, the areas that are zoomed in on are mapped Power cable Alternating Current (AC) connection for use with(in) a vending machine Direct current (DC) connection for use with the adaptor 1. Check if the cable is connected to the PayCon Touch Mini 2. Connect the other end to the power outlet The AC and DC connectors may never be used at the same time! See the Power Chart 28 in the appendix section of this manual. Network cable RJ-45 Network connector 1. 9 Cables Copier, MFP To connect a copier or MFP to the PayCon Touch Mini use the following instructions: 4-pins 'COPY OUT' connector 10-pins 'COPY IN' connector Most of copiers we support are connected in the same manner: 1. Connect the large 10-pin connector to COPY_IN. 2. Connect the 4-pin connector to COPY_OUT. If cables do not match or fit, or if there are doubts about the connection as described in this section being the same, do not connect the cables and look up the information in our technical manual or the copier database or contact the dealer for more information. Version

10 Installation Hardware Setup Tools: Pair of wire cutters No. 2 cross head screwdriver No. 1 PoziDriv head screwdriver Attach the PTM to a printer or MFP Note: When a copy device is used, the bottom of the PTM will have a hole and a MFP cable will be attached trough that hole. In this instruction the second image (where relevant) will be the configuration with the copier cable. 1. Remove the two (P500031) screws from the PTM.

The bracket needs to rest attached to the copier for 24 hours before a load such as the PTM may be applied. This will provide extra sturdiness, but obviously also damages the hull of the MFP. Confer with your dealer and/or site manager to confer if the screws may be used. 5. Make sure the network cable and power supply cable are already into place before screwing the PTM on the bracket. 6. Attach the PTM to the bracket with the M4 x20 (P500007) screws and their (P500206) starlock washers. Note: The screws must be inserted under an angle, perpendicular to the black top of the PTM. 14 Terminal Configuration Terminal Configuration When powering up the PTM, this will be the initial screen. Fill in the device label (this will be used to identify the device when it's configured on the server). Press the right arrow to continue the setup wizard. We will now configure the network settings. By default DHCP s enabled. Uncheck the box if a static IP-address is required. (The wizard will then continue with the additional settings the IPaddress, net mask, gateway and DNS). 8 - PayCon Touch Mini (PTM) - MFP

Server Configuration Server Configuration 1.1 Launch the Inepro Business Server Configuration tool from Start -> All Programs -> Inepro Back Office Suite -> Tools. 1.2 Create a new sub-group for Embedded Stations by right-click on System Default and select Insert and in the same way create for each MFP a sub-group.

19 1.7 Launch the Inepro Back Office Manager from 'Start -> All Programs -> Inepro Back Office Suite'. 1.8 Select the corresponding printer device, go to the Terminals tab and add a new terminal with the + button. Select the corresponding PTM terminal. Version

If printer is capable to automatically print letter documents on A4 and vice versa check A4 <-> Letter Fallback. (Because most printers are, default is checked). If 'Allow Size Fallback' is unchecked DocuPRO will only release documents that matches with the included paper sizes. For example: Only A4 is included in the available paper size, and somebody have a ledger document, then DocuPRO prevents the user to print this document in order to prevent a printer error. This behavior can be overruled by checking this feature Include the paper sizes that are physically present in the printer. Note: To avoid conflicts attach only one terminal to a station, old terminals can be removed. 28 PayCon Tools Select and upload a *.firmware and a corresponding *.digest file. After uploading, the 'Program firmware' button becomes available. Press this button to start the update. The PTM will be automatically rebooted after a successful update. PayCon Firmware Update Tool The PayCon Firmware Update Tool has the same search options as the PayCon Config Tool. The tool has two functions; rebooting the PTM and updating the PTM. Right-click a PTM to reboot it PayCon Touch Mini (PTM) - MFP

29 To update a PTM, first select a *.nfi firmware file. Select one or more PTM's to update. Start the update by clicking the 'Update' button. The bar on the bottom shows the progress of the upload. The PTM will automatically reboot after the update. The new version can be verified in the tool by refreshing the screen (press 'Scan'). Version

36 Appendices Connection sheet for positive and negative input signals The power supply of the input signals needs to be minimum 5V DC and maximum 30V DC. The inputs are separated by of galvanization by means of an opto-coupler in order to avoid any risk of damage to the electronics of the copier. By activating one or various size inputs, price differences can be set. In case no price line is activated, the price set in product 0 will be settled. Each counter pulse has to correspond to a different paper format. To settle the prices, the size inputs function in the same way as the ready input. 40 Appendices The Double Click Mode Using the interface Double click a maximum of 4 prices can be calculated. Calculating an A3 or A4 copy. In this mode, the paper format is recognised by means of a single or a double "counter" pulse. A single counter pulse is used for a price set in the register of product 0, a double counter pulse is used for the price set in the register of product 1. The length of a double counter pulse is to be set as a variable value. Its value has to be set as accurate as possible. Consult the menu item "double click delay" in Service copy for more details on the setting. Calculating a colour copy. In case of a colour copier, a colour copy can be recognised. Recognising a colour copy is effected by activating maximum one size input. During the activated size input, one or two pulses have to be generated at the ready input.
