7 Directives ATTENTION!! Read this manual carefully before installing the IP Reader! Mains connection Before connecting the appliance to the mains, check that the mains supply voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the type plate of the adapter. If the mains voltage is different, consult your supplier. Guarentee No guarantee can be given if safety regulations are not followed. 17 Hardware Setup Attach the PTM bracket to the copier 2. Attach the PTM to the bracket with the M4 x20 screws and their hooded washers. 1. Attach the bracket to the copier Make sure the network cable and power with the foam tape and screws. supply cable are already into place before screwing the PTM on the bracket. Version

20 Set up the PTM Turn on the PTM. Refer to the technical PTM Copy manual for handling the PTM menu and changing settings. The settings in the PTM can be find in the treetop menu structure of the PTM. To simplify thing, we will use a graphic representation of this menu to show you where the setting can be found. BE WARE! The icons depicted below are no longer correct in the new Graphical User Interface, and the flag function currently does not work! These will be mutated in this manual at a later date. The steps are represented by icons: Present your service card and enter the menu Optional ECOS module Press 1 Press Dot Press 2 Press 0 Press 3 Press # Press 4 Press + Press 5 Press Press 6 Press F Press 7 Press Press 8 Press? Press 9 Press Press the Flag Press Correction Use the,, and to navigate, the to edit the value, the to confirm and the to cancel. 12 PTM MFP
21 Set up the PTM Look for all the actions of the buttons in the PTM technical manual. PTM GUI In order to operate the PTM, the GUI must be set to "Touchscreen". If this is not done, only a white screen will show. Because this setting influences the GUI itself, this must be done using the PayCon Config Tool. 1. Test if you can enter the GUI by presenting a valid contactless service card and logging in. 2. If everything is correct the menu will show, if so continue to the next section. 3. If not, the display will be filled with white. Use the PayCon Config Tool to enter the menu and go to the "hardware\user Interface" menu. 4. From the Hardware menu, go to "../Customer Interface", ".. \Employee Interface" and "..\Menu Interface" and set all these to "Touchscreen". Version
22 Behaviour Behaviour 1. Where is the credit value kept? a. On the card (SVC), you will need to use cards of the chipcard or Mifare card type and the ECOS 'KM PTM Payment Option', continue with step 2. b. On the server (SVS), go to step 3. c. On the PTM terminal, you will need ECOS 'KM I Local Accounts', go to step Stored Value on Card: a. If you use Mifare continue with 2b, if you use chipcards go to step 2d b., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card / ID' => 'ID Tags' => 'Mifare' => 'Mode'. c. Select 'Disabled', press and go to step 2f. d., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card / ID' => 'Server Accounts' => 'Tags' => 'Inepro SLE'. e. Select 'Disabled' and press. f. Do you use Pcounter? if you do, continue with step 3, if you don't, go to step Do you use Cost Centres (Client Codes) in the PTM System*? * Sub Client Codes are not supported., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card / ID' => 'General Settings' => 'Cost Centre Selection'. b. If everybody is required to use a Cost Centre (Client Code), choose 'Required' and confirm with. The users will not be able to use budget purses if there is no server connection. c. If you don't use Cost Centres, choose 'Never' and confirm with. d. If you only want to use it if the server is online, choose 'If online' and confirm with. e. Go to step 5. a. 14 PTM MFP
23 Set up the PTM 4. Store Value on Terminal: a. Set the account mode., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card/ID' => 'Terminal Accounts' => 'Account Mode'. b. If you want all tags to be accepted select 'Allow all ID's' and confirm with and go to step 4e. c. If you want to accept only tags that are registered in your PTM select 'Allow accounts' and confirm with. d. Setting up the accounts:, Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card/ID' => 'Terminal Accounts' => 'Add'. Type a card or account number and confirm with to add an account. Repeat this until all accounts are set. e. Setting the tags:, Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card / ID' => 'Server Accounts' => 'Tags' => <Tag Type>. Select 'Disabled' and press., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card / ID' => 'Terminal Accounts' => 'Tags' => <Tag Type>. There are two ways to present a tag to the PTM, you can swipe it past the reader or hold it in place on the reader. Select 'Hold' or 'Swipe' and confirm with. f. Go to Step 8 Network 5. Network Settings: a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Network' b. Set the 'host name' to an identifiable name. c. Confirm with. d. If DHCP is used and go to step 7. e. If DHCP isn't used, set it to 'disabled' and confirm with Version
24 Network 6. Fixed IP addresses: a. Set 'IPaddress' to an IPaddress in your network range and confirm with. b. Set the subnet mask ('netmask') to ' ' or to the subnet mask needed in your network and confirm with. c. Set the 'default gateway' to the IPaddress of the default gateway in your network and confirm with. 7. DB Settings: a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'DB Connectivity' => 'Server' b. Set the IPaddress of the PCounter server in 'Sever Address' and confirm with. c., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'DB Connectivity' => 'Transaction log' d. Select 'Enabled' and confirm with. e., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'DB Connectivity' => 'Printjob client' f. Select 'Enabled' and confirm with. General Settings 8. Copier Interface: a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Copier' => 'Interface' b. Select the Interface setting for your machine and press 16 PTM MFP.
25 Set up the PTM 9. Products. The copy/print/scan products in the PTM have a fixed order and number. They are used to connect the paper signals form the copier to prices in the PTM. These products and their names can also be set with PCounter. a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Products' => 'Product List' b. Check if the default product list is complete, if so go to step 11, if not continue with step 10. Maximum Balance, the Maximum Balance allowed on a card or account. a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Card/ID' => 'Generic Settings' => 'Maximum Balance'. b. Type in the maximum balance and confirm with. 13.Project ID, the unique number for all PTM's on this project or site. a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Project ID' b. Press, type the Project ID and confirm with. 14. Date and Time, the time and date that are used for the timestamp on the transactions. Remember if the time zone is changed the time will change accordingly. a. So first set the time zone by, go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Date/Time' => 'Time zone'. b. Select the time zone and confirm with. c. Check the time (go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Date/ Time' => 'Time') and change it if needed. d. In the same manner check the date. 18 PTM MFP
27 Set up the PTM 15. Currency, the currency used in the PTM a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Currency' => 'Accepted Currency'. b. Select the currency and confirm with. c. Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Currency' => 'Old Currency'. d. Select the currency and confirm with. 16. Default language, the language the PTM uses to communicate with the user. A second and third language can also be set. When the user presses, the next available language will be used. a., Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => 'Default Language'. b. Select a language from the list and confirm with. c. Go to 'Main Menu' => 'Terminal' => '<Nth> Language' to add extra languages in the same way. Version
